This latch is now fitted on our windows, doing a good job, the drawback was making fit where the old ones were, and I had to put a backing plate behind the latch so it would line up with the existing hole, which wasn’t ideal.

Built just like the old latches. I'm sure if you're pretty rough with them they'd fall apart. But without a washed or a pin on the inside of the latch what do you expect! I would definitely buy from these guys again.

I have old wooden windows and needed to replace the latch. The windows are slightly warped so don't close all the way when it is humid. The latch works great, until the window wouldn't quite close and the arm only covered the very tip of the latch. When I tried to close further, the latch part broke off. Luckily the kit comes with extender washers. I bought a replacement, used the washer, and now the latch works fine. Just be aware of the brittleness of the metal.

These casement latches look nice but unfortunately with very little pressure, the handle popped off of the turn base. It cannot be reconnected. I used them on cabinet doors with little to no pressure, and one still broke. I suspect the same will happen to the others. I am looking for another product.

If you choose to purchase this item understand that this is NOT a Lock. It is a simple latch. If installed as show in pic it will serve its purpose well. Have it the other way and it might slip out of its placement. So turning it counterclockwise is the way to go👌👍🏻

This is very sturdy. I put it on a cabinet in a rental unit. The previous latch (which was not like this one) broke very quickly. I have not had any report that there are any problems with this and it has been installed for a few months now.
