After moving the litter box to a more obscure location at the back of the house, I noticed the house had an unpleasant order upon entry. Then realized the new location was right under one of the ac intake vents. Added this quiet workhorse directly over the litter box and it completely eliminated pungent, as well as more subtle litter box odors. I actually set up my sewing equipment adjacent to this space and detect no odor from the nearby litter box. Worth the money! But note, the wall brace is a separate purchase, so consider that when placing your order.

This fan has been helpful. The cat litter box I use this for is still open to the rest of the room, so you can still tell when a poop has hit the box. It does help reduce odor in the space overall. Please not I cut vents in the top of a Tidy Cats Breeze Litterbox hinged enclosure and secured the fan to the top with the Velcro fasteners that came with the fan. I just have to be a little careful removing the enclosure lid for cleaning, but it's worked out fine so far.

So far no litter box odors. This box is the worst offender being in an open upstairs hallway and available to all four cats 24/7.In the past my wife and I have raced up the stairs or out of bed to scoop this box passing through a most horrendous odorous cloud before it spreads house wide. The fan has been operating for a few weeks. Before we always knew that the box needed scooping. Well before reaching it. Now we have to remember to check. I've regularly walked past not knowing 2+ cats have made a pit stop.The bracket is mounted on the wall just above the litter box. We have a shy cat that uses this box almost exclusively and who creates the awful odor. My worry was the noise or vibration from a fan directly on the box might deter her from using it. That would be disastrous. All cats seem to be ignoring it. I'm sure the low noise and near vibration free characteristics of the fan heavily contribute to this. The fan is currently running at it's slowest speed. I have noticed that when turning ON there is a minimum amount the switch has to be moved beyond OFF or the fan makes considerable noise.My only concern with the filter was of the fan's longevity but that was addressed by the company. It carries a lifetime warranty.The first filter fan was DOA. This was quickly address by company. Their overall excellent service kept the rating at five stars despite the four shown which I can not seem to change.So far we are happy enough to have ordered another. The second of three planned.

I was going to buy a charcoal filter and ventilation fan that is typically used for indoor plant growing but ran across this product so figured I'd give it a try. It's a good concept but the fan isn't nearly strong enough to pull a significant amount of air THROUGH the filter medium. The Charcoal filter pack is very substantial, which is good but it isn't designed to be a filter. The fan blows a decent amount of air but it isn't actually pulling most of it through the charcoal bag and therefore doesn't neutralize the odor. I'll very likely return this and go with my original plan that is proven to eliminate odor from the air in small enclosed spaces.

We have a 17-year-old cat who is so eaten up with arthritis that he can no longer get through the cat door to the garage to use the litter box. We moved the box to the master bedroom (he likes to sleep with us) and all summer had dual fans "exhausting" the air from the room. Now that winter has arrived, we have had to shut the window and YOWZA!!! The odor was horrifying. Understand, with the arthritis, he also finds it difficult to bury his excrement.It was a shot in the dark, but I read a good review of this air purifier and I'm here to testify that it's true. This thing works amazingly well. I built a little stand to hold it about six inches from the carpet and placed it next to the entry of the litter-box cave. We do try to stay on top of covering the droppings in the box when we see them. Between that and this air purifier, if you didn't see it, you would not know there was a litter box in the room.

I’m one of those people who reads reviews before buying anything, but never writes them... until now.My cats are prolific poopers. Our litter box is on the first floor in our laundry room. This means that when one of my cats does his business, it very quickly wafts out the door, through the kitchen and smacks you in the face as you sit on the couch trying to watch Magnum PI in peace. I’ve used all kinds of air purifiers, plug-ins, odor eliminators... you name it, I’ve tried it. Nothing has worked. Instead, our friends just make jokes about dropped bombs when they come over. So when I saw the Purrified Air unit, I was skeptical. Skeptical that anything could possibly compete with my odoriferous felines.Well, after 5 minutes of being plugged in, I was a believer. We’ve had this beautiful contraption running for a month and I smell nothing. Nothing but clean air. The true test? My mother, who has an obnoxiously sensitive sniffer. She even hates candles (and who hates candles?). She came over, stuck her nose right near the box and exclaimed “I smell nothing!” Folks, that right there is all the ringing endorsement you need: one from a sensitive-nosed, judgmental, clean freak parent.Did I mention that it’s on the lowest possible speed? Yup. The unit does emit a sound, but it’s a soft, unobtrusive fan. My only regret about this purchase is not discovering and buying it sooner. Bravo, Purrified Air!
