Love this thing. Easy to use once you get the hang of it. Disappointed they don’t have more! I want a couple more for my other feeder bugs. Hope they can get more in!

I recently tried the **NEPTONION Professional Cricket Keeper and Live Worm Organizer Tank**, which is designed for keeping crickets, dubia roaches, silkworms, and other feeder insects. One thing that stood out immediately was that this tank comes in **green**, unlike many clear containers on the market. Here's my review based on its design, functionality, and ease of use for keeping feeder insects.### **Design and Build**The **green color** of this tank is one of the first things I noticed, and while it’s not clear, it actually provides some advantages. The green material blocks out light more effectively than clear containers, which can help keep the insects calm. Many insects, like dubia roaches and crickets, prefer darker environments, so the colored container helps reduce stress for them. However, not being able to see inside as easily is a slight drawback if you want to monitor the insects without opening the tank. The **rubber seal** around the edges is another great feature. It creates an airtight seal that ensures no escapees, which is crucial when dealing with fast-moving insects like crickets or cockroaches. The rubber also helps keep odors contained, which can be an issue with feeder insects. Overall, the build quality feels durable and secure, with no weak spots or flimsy parts.### **Bug Dirt Management Function**One of the key features of this organizer is its **bug dirt management function**, which is very useful for keeping the habitat clean. The tank has a **grated bottom** or a separate compartment for waste and uneaten food, which makes it much easier to maintain cleanliness. This design prevents the insects from constantly sitting in their waste, which can promote better health and reduce the smell. This feature makes cleaning out the tank much simpler. Instead of having to remove all the insects to clean the entire container, you can just clean out the dirt and waste tray or grate, saving time and effort. The compartment for waste is easy to remove and wash, which is a big bonus.### **Size and Functionality**The tank is spacious enough for keeping a good number of feeder insects. I’ve been using it for crickets and dubia roaches, and they seem to have plenty of room to move around and feed. There are also **air vents** built into the design, which ensures proper ventilation without risking any escapes. The vents are small enough to keep even the tiniest insects inside.Another thing I like about the tank is that it’s **modular**. You can adjust the internal dividers to create different sections if you want to keep different types of insects separated, or if you want to manage feeding and egg-laying spaces separately. The compartments also help with **keeping feeder insects organized**, which is great if you're managing multiple colonies or types of feeders.### **Ease of Use**This tank is really easy to use. The **rubber seal** and **snap-on lid** make opening and closing the tank simple without risking any escapes. Even though it’s green and not clear, the top opening allows easy access to the insects when you need to feed them or clean the tank. The **bug dirt management system** really cuts down on maintenance time. Instead of needing to completely empty the tank to clean it, I only need to slide out the dirt tray, give it a rinse, and replace it. This makes it much more efficient, especially if you have a lot of insects to manage.### **What It's Best For**I’ve used the **NEPTONION tank** for both **crickets and dubia roaches**, and it works well for both. The **green color** keeps them calm, and the **rubber seal** ensures that none of them escape, which is always a concern with fast-moving insects like crickets. The size is also adequate for keeping a medium-sized colony of dubia roaches, with enough room for them to breed and feed.It also works for **silkworms and superworms**, although you’ll need to make sure to clean out the waste management system regularly, as superworms in particular can generate a lot of waste. The **ventilation system** helps prevent mold or odor buildup, which is important for keeping the insects healthy.### **Pros**- **Green color reduces stress**: The green material blocks light, helping to keep insects calm.- **Rubber seal**: Creates an airtight, escape-proof environment and helps contain odors.- **Bug dirt management system**: Easy to clean, with a grated or removable dirt compartment to separate waste from the insects.- **Modular design**: Internal dividers allow for organization and separation of different types of insects or functions (feeding, breeding).- **Spacious**: Offers plenty of room for keeping multiple feeder insects or breeding colonies.- **Good ventilation**: Proper air circulation without risking any escape.### **Cons**- **Not clear**: The green color makes it harder to see inside the tank, so you’ll need to open it to check on the insects.- **Size limitations**: While it’s a good size for most feeder insects, if you’re keeping larger colonies or multiple species, you might need more than one tank.### **Final Thoughts**The **NEPTONION Professional Cricket Keeper and Live Worm Organizer Tank** is a solid choice if you’re looking for a durable, easy-to-maintain enclosure for feeder insects like crickets, dubia roaches, and superworms. The **green color** helps keep the insects calm, and the **bug dirt management system** simplifies cleaning and maintenance. While the color means you can’t easily monitor your insects without opening the tank, the **rubber seal** and well-ventilated design make it highly functional and secure. If you’re serious about keeping feeder insects healthy and contained, this is a great tank that balances functionality with ease of use. I’d recommend it for anyone who needs a reliable setup for managing feeder insects, whether for pets or breeding purposes.

We just got a bearded dragon pet and i bought this for 38.99. And we found this really helpful for keeping our crickets. Whether it's feeding or cleaning (and having them not jump out), I found this really helpful and helps to keep them healthy and alive for longer.

I’m loving this! I have a baby bearded dragon who is eating like upwards of 50 crickets a day and this thing has been great! The people who say if your feeders are dying it’s something you are doing are absolutely correct. Make sure your temperature, airflow, and food is all good and this should work great! There are usually crickets in the food dish when you take it out, but I have just started taking it out and setting it in the tank, using tweezers to either pick up the bugs or chase them into the tank, then you can pour the bugs out the spout without the food going everywhere. Another tip is you don’t need to put egg cartons or anything else in there, and don’t. If you do it messes up the design and the bugs can easily escape when you pull out the plug from the spout, that was the cause of the only escapee I’ve had from this, so I always just remind the pet store people that I don’t want the egg carton when buying bugs and just take them straight home. It’s super easy to clean with a sponge and a little dawn and water, and I’ve even started pre calcium coating them right before dumping them in the container since it holds about 100 and she will go through that many within a few days max. The clear window on top is also great so you can check about how many are left without unscrewing the top. I’m definitely recommending this to all my reptile owner friends

I've been feeding crickets to my tarantulas for years, and despite trying lots of different ways to keep the crickets alive in regular cricket keepers, about half of them would always die in a stinky mess. It was a waste of time and money, and the smell was terrible. I was skeptical about the Neptonion keeper, but I was willing to try anything. And I'm so glad I did! I left out the middle baffle and placed the crickets' egg carton material between the other two baffles. I don't use the shaker feature but instead prefer to open the top and remove crickets as needed. And nearly 4 weeks after filling the keeper with crickets, I was able to feed the last of them—still healthy—to my spiders!! Only a couple died the whole time. I've NEVER been able to keep crickets alive and healthy that long, AND the keeper wasn't reaking of cricket grossness! I love the feeding tray (though the crickets do eat a bit of the sponge), the way the vertical orientation keeps insects off the floor of the keeper, and the "poop trap" that keeps it relatively clean and MUCH better smelling. I'm a better tarantula owner now because I have healthier feeders that I don't have to buy as often. I love this thing!
