Quite impressed with the smoothness and mirror finish of this trowel, as per both photos, the metal is very polished. It arrived in a thick cardboard box which was sufficient to protect it from any bending, however I am concerned with the thickness of the material used. While I don't have calipers to quantify it, it is definitely thinner than the blades on either my Dewalt or Marshalltown drywall tools, and can be easily bent with little force. It would take very little to bend this in a manner which would make it unusable, however for someone with a calm hand, this could make a good tool. The metal plate on the back does not reinforce the entire trowel, leaving a solid core, but very flexible edges.

This trowel has the look of a NelaFlex trowel, or especially the Marshalltown 14" x 4-3/8" PermaFlex trowel. The secondary handle mount platform providing center rigidity between the handle and the main blade suggests this is designed as a flex blade. Good flex makes this a good finishing blade. Not as much for use in loading seams, but very good at finish work.

To say that this float is not straight is to say nothing.Straight into the garbage it goes.

Works great as a smoothing trowel. The metal was polished to a mirror finish and is fairly supple making it easy to leave a smooth surface without too much edge lines. The edges have been pre rounded, helping you to overlap your trowel marks without leaving an edge or when you can't do a proper liftoff.
