Update: We have finally given up on this Head Guard. It just became unbearable for my Son to use comfortably and thus would affect his ability to spar effectively. It would just squeeze his cheeks and make it painful to use. So please be aware that unless your child's head is really small, the Small/Medium may be too tight on their face.Purchased the head guard for my Son who is a Black Belt in Takwondo. As a Black Belt, they are able to kick to the head, so I wanted more protection for him. The head guard with face shield is well built, but my Son says is puts a lot of pressure on his cheeks to where its uncomfortable to wear. I tried loosening the velcro on the face shield to allow the padding that goes over his cheeks to have more room to move. Even after this adjustment, he still said it was uncomfortable in the cheek area, too tight he said. So I just wanted to make people aware of this that it may press too hard against the cheeks to the point where your child may not want to wear the Head Guard. Hopefully it will loosen up with time.

This is a nice helmet for my son. The removable face shield is nice! Ony thing I see deficient is that it could provide better peripheral vision. It gets sweaty in there but hey, that's physics.

Great headguard for MMA and boxing Kickboxing, it fits very well, the size is ok, well a little big but ok, you feel really protected, I already had an everlast MMA headguard and I wasn't totally satisfied, with this one I really am! not a good thing they charge you even 10 more dollars for the shipping, and at the beginning I wasn't kind of sure if it was worth the money, but so far it has been!
