I purchased these shocks on 03/15/21, and today is 06/22/24. In the fall of 2023, we noticed that the last few rides were rough before I put the bike away for the winter. The other day, I took the bike, and I got it ready for the first ride of the year, I don't put many miles on it. It is a 2013 Heritage Soft Tail Classic with 23,000 on it. Since the shocks were placed on, it's only been about 1100 miles since I had back surgery a year ago and hardly rode last year. Yesterday was the first ride, and it was horrible and very bumpy. When I got home, I looked under the bike and found that one of the shocks was blown. With the amount of time and effort it takes to install these on an FLSTC (over 12 hrs), this is one part that I DEMAND QUALITY on. To be let down on this part means I will Never purchase or recommend it to Anybody. I was told to spend the extra money and buy Air Shocks for the back initially, but I didn't want to spend the additional $250. Boy, am I regretting it now ☹

My stock rear FLSS shocks seemingly just gave in around 15k, reduced travel and so expanded it wasnt much better over a bad 880 pavement crack than a hardtail…. Probably resulted from riding it like a dyna since I got it… the progressive rears were an immediate improvement upon how the shock rears were when I bought it new. Plus love being able to drop the rear an inch without losing any travel or preload to compliment the stance of the raised front end the 21” causes.

Progressive has been around a long time. Especially the 422-4002C for Softails. My ride is greatly improved over the stock H-D suspension. I have them adjust two full turns. I find the ride firm and stable but comfortable going over rough surfaces or bumps. And at this setting, I'm able to carry a decent amount of weight while on trips with any issues. I highly recommend.

Bought these for my 07 Heritage. My wife and I with a full campsite worth of gear strapped on is weighing in around 425lbs. We were constantly bottoming out. Adjusted factory shocks all the way and still hard bottoming. Put these on and straight outta the box a huge improvement. 400miles of bike rally weekends and never bottomed once.

I put these on my Deuce that's dropped in the back. If you reduce your travel, you better have good shocks to make the most of what's left back there travel wise. This fits the bill. No bottom outs, and a nice ride when slammed. My buddy with the lowered fatboy on stock shocks broke my back in comparison.

These are fantastic! Pretty easy to install on my 2014 FLSTC. You need the Snap-On spline adapter. Lowered the bike about 2" as advertised. Great riding shock... firm but not too rigid. Comes with the adjuster tool!
