Promar is a company that manufactures products related to marine activities and fishing. Their GL-200 rubber gloves consist of a gray glove that appears to be made of cotton, with an elasticized section at the wrist. Blue colored latex rubber is applied to the fingers and palm areas. The rubber has a roughened finish, which helps provide a better, more secure grip.The rubber is fairly pliable, so the fingers are able to move pretty freely, and you still have some degree of sensitivity in the fingers. The glove is designed to close in on the hand, so the fit tends to be fairly tight. The area on the back of the hand is not coated, so there is a minimal amount of air flow, and the skin can "breathe" a little, but if it is warm, your hands will probably tend to sweat. On the other hand, if you are in a cold climate, these gloves will tend to keep your hands warm.Although perhaps designed for fishing related tasks little cleaning fish, with a nice tight fit, these gloves work well for cleaning or general tasks around the house, or in the yard or garden. You may need to be conscious about getting them soaking wet, as prolonged exposed to water might not be good for your fingers, and it could take a while to dry these gloves out.They are a tight fit, so trying them on would be advised. If you are buying sight unseen, you might want to buy one size larger, just to be safe. The gloves contain latex, so if you are allergic, you may want to pass.I bought these on sale at CVS for $2.60, so your local store might offer a better deal.
