I got these for fly fishing to provide protection for my Index finger rather than using a sleeve. These gloves are made of thin UV fabric, similar to many other gloves. They have good padding and texture in the fingers and palm. I ordered size large and they provide a snug and not uncomfortable fit. They are cool and dry quickly. These are an excellent choice if you don't want full finger gloves. The finger does extend far enough for fly fishing, but if you have long fingers, these might not work that way.

You cannot expect this to be the best of the best, but they are good (especially the price). When the thaw comes (around the end of May) I will put the boat in the water and it is fishing until the first frost. I need protection on my hands from the sun. I had a one of those top brand gloves but during squall they blew out the boat and no time to retrieve them. So I decided to go generic.These look and feel great. They have good gripping action on the areas were you hold the rod. I threw a few casts (in the snow) to see how they worked and despite getting damp they still gripped the pole. And you simply cannot bet the price.I will update my review after I have used them for a while.
