This collar is ok but I stopped using it and switched to a traditional prong collar. I didn't really like how this one adjusted and it wasn't enough to keep my girl from pulling. This might be a good alternative for someone that thinks regular prong collars are inhumane.

Was worried about the prongs of a metal collar being too strong so we got this plastic one to try instead. I tried it on myself and it didnt seem as harsh. Like that you can remove and add prongs as needed. It doesnt break away and needs to be tightened to be able to put on but totally understand why for security. It gives us just enough control without choking or hurting him. We actually had two different dog trainers tell us that they really liked this collar and would recommend it if the dog is not overly aggressive and need just a little bit of firmness. Has really helped us get a handle on basic pulling and training.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ **Durable and Effective Training Collar**This prong collar is **well-made and sturdy**, with **strong stainless steel components and a flexible PVC-coated strap** that feels durable. It’s **easy to adjust** by adding or removing links, making it a **customizable fit for different dog sizes**.I appreciate the **rubber-tipped prongs**, which make it **more comfortable and humane** while still being effective for training. It **helps discourage pulling** without causing pain, making walks much more manageable. One thing to note is that it may take some time for a dog to adjust to wearing it, but overall, it’s **a great tool for leash training**. Definitely a **solid choice for dog owners looking for a reliable and safe training collar!**I've been using the collar on a 90+# Rottweiler and it snaps him to attention when he starts to pull. The prongs are significantly less of a pinch than the traditional pinch collars however, they are effective.  I'm still on the fence if I'm going to switch over to all of my pinch collars to this design. I do feel it is much more humane that traditional collars. With that being said, during the training process with watchdogs, failure to maintain with both trainer and dog could be catastrophic.  The tide is still out if I'll 100% change over. Quite a compliment to the design and strength of this item. For the general fur-baby, this toned down version of a pinch collar is fantastic and would be just as effective. I highly recommend it!

I had been using a traditional metal prong collar in training my thick necked English Labrador. He was responding very well to that collar and hoped this collar could replace it and be used as a reminder. It missed the mark entirely for my dog 14 month old dog who is large, stocky, and weighs 100#.There really isn't a gentle pinching mechanism but rather just the plastic "prongs" that will push against your dogs neck and nothing more. It is more of a Martingale collar with plastic bumps on the inside. It may work for lighter weight dogs and those with a coat that is less dense and less muscular.

Unlike traditional, metal link prong collars that can be either opened between individual links or (more recently) come with a quick release buckle, this collar runs a continuous collar (made of some type of pliable plastic) through the plastic "prongs" amd spacers. The prongs cannot come off the flat collar portion except if the flat collar is removed from the clip that keeps the whole collar together. The metal chain part (Martingale portion) does not have a release clasp. Therefore, it's impossible to size this collar to fit snugly up high on the dog's neck (which is the proper way to fit a correction collar) without opening the entire collar. When you do that, all the plastic links and spacers can slide off. While that's the point of sizing the collar for the dog's neck size, you need to prevent most of the links from sliding off while you hold it around the dog's neck to determine the proper size. Then, you have to reassemble the collar at the proper size while it's around the dog's neck. To remove the collar, you need to open it up again, which can allow links and spaces to fall off. BTW the flat plastic collar part is not at all easy to thread through the buckle. It's a wee bit sticky when you try to side it against itself. I hate that sort of buckle connector even on a nylon web collar, and that material slides far easier (albeit it NOT really very easy) than this plastic material. Whew. What a challenging process. To fit this collar properly would require wrapping the unbuckled strap around the dog's neck for sizing at which point you need to add or remove the links and spaces while juggling the open strap that holds the links and spaces which can potentially slide right off. It's just not designed right.Once fitted properly (if that can be achieved), I personally don't think that the rounded, triangle shaped, plastic "prongs" do much more than nag the dog. They aren't designed to truly correct the dog with a quick, sharp snap (which is how a dog corrects another dog.)If you follow the method of "give a warning when the dog is about to break a barrier and correct if the dog doesn't heed that warning and change his behavior," then a traditional prong collar only needs to be used for a few weeks after which your dog chooses to heed the warning before he receives the consequence/correction. Training collars that deliver corrections are not supposed to be used indefinitely as tools of "restraint." They teach a dog to listen to your voice or hand signal and respond without needing a correction. In my professional opinion (I've been training dogs since 1983) this collar is not only nearly impossible to fit on a dog where it can provide the most clear information, but it isn't designed to truly correct a dog's behavior.I can't recommend this collar. To support my opinion, view the photos on the product page. In every image that is supposed to represent "good dog" behavior, the dog has significant tension on its neck (nagging not correcting) and the collar is sitting too long on the dog's neck. A dog deserves a better life than one where he endure constant tension on his neck.

BUSTEELIGHT Prong Collar for Dogs - Adjustable Pinch Collar with PVC Coated Strap & Stainless Steel Chain - Safe Dog Training Prong Collar for Large Dogs - Choke Collar with Soft Rubber Tips (Orange). There are things I like about this collar, more than a traditional metal prong collar: Less invasive prongs, bright and visible at night, cool looking collar, size adjustable. The thing that might be less desirable, though, is that because it’s less invasive, it doesn’t make as much of an impression on the dog, so I don’t think it’s as helpful for training and correcting behavior. The nubs feel like more of a massage than a directive. It certainly makes me feel less guilty about using it, though, so there’s that. I’m going to give it some more time, but right now, I’m a little on the fence about it. Fair price, though.
