I recently got my hands on this Propane Torch Weed Burner Kit, and let me tell you, it’s an absolute powerhouse! Whether I’m clearing out stubborn weeds, starting a fire pit, or even helping a buddy melt ice off his driveway, this torch makes every job faster and way more satisfying. The ability to easily switch between a short or long setup is genius—it really adapts to whatever task you throw at it.The flame output is seriously impressive. With up to 2,100,000 BTUs and temperatures reaching 4000°F, it handles heavy-duty jobs without even breaking a sweat. The large nozzle puts out a strong, even flame that saves me tons of time compared to smaller torches. Plus, the built-in igniter is a huge bonus—no more fumbling with matches or lighters to get it going. And adjusting the flame with the gas valve and turbo trigger feels really intuitive and smooth, even one-handed.One thing I really appreciate is the heavy-duty, 12.5-foot hose. It's thick, durable, and gives me plenty of room to move around safely without having to constantly shift the propane tank. The whole setup feels super sturdy, and the cCSAus certification with added safety mechanisms gives me extra peace of mind, especially when working with such high heat.Overall, this torch is an awesome investment for anyone who needs serious firepower for weeding, roofing, roadwork, or just heavy-duty outdoor tasks. The 3-year warranty is just the cherry on top. If you’re looking for a reliable, high-output torch that’s built for real work, this kit absolutely delivers!

It went together and to work within a minute after arriving and was just “ok” and short lived with a small cylinder and excellent for hours with a 20 lb tank. I’ll use my refillable small cylinders for convenient quick use in my gravel areas before working to erase chiggers and my bigger tanks for erasing both weeds and the dreaded chiggers from the whole property.

I have a culvert pipe under my driveway so water runoff can pass down the ditch in front of my house. I have large rocks piled at the entrance and exit of the pipe so it won’t fill with dirt or debris and become blocked. The problem I have is that leaves fall and get stuck in all the nooks and crannies that are between the rocks. I have tried to get them out with a leaf blower but that doesn’t work. My solution is to burn them and then flus the ashes out of the rocks. I don’t want to use any kind of accelerant in fears that the resulting fire might get away from me, so this propane burner seems to be a good method of putting fire right where I need it. Assembly was easy. I used the extra pipe to give me some extension. I attached a camping size propane tank to the burner. I opened the top control know just a bit and clicked the red starter button, which ignited a reasonable sized flame at the end of the nozzle. Then I opened the valve all the way as directed in the instructions and did not notice any increase in the flame size. Another reviewer referred to this as a “flame thrower”, but I felt that the flame I had without using the “full flame lever” was adequate for weed burning and the project I have planned. Using the lever apparently injects air into the system, which makes the burner act like a blow torch. This is overkill for weed burning, but probably great for clearing snow. After use, I closed the control knob and removed the propane tank. Good product!

So, officially I bought this propane torch kit to take care of weeds in my rock garden and to melt ice and snow off the driveway. And yes—it does both jobs really well. It puts out serious heat, and the 2.1 million BTUs definitely aren’t just marketing fluff. The flame is powerful and efficient, and the turbo trigger gives you instant control when you need a quick burst. That said… let’s be honest—I also bought this because it’s just cool to use. Who doesn’t want to walk around wielding a flamethrower that looks like it belongs in an action movie? It’s satisfying, effective, and surprisingly fun (in a responsible, safety-minded way of course).A few more highlights:The 12.5 ft hose gives you a lot of range, which is especially helpful when you're working in larger areas. The built-in igniter works well and saves you the trouble of using a lighter every time. The long/short mode setup gives it versatility depending on what you're doing (and how dramatic you want to look doing it).It feels heavy-duty and well-made, not flimsy like cheaper torches I’ve tried in the past.Only minor drawback? It does take some getting used to with propane control if you’ve never used one before, but once you’re dialed in, it’s smooth sailing. This thing is an absolute beast for yard work, ice, and more—but also a ton of fun. If you're even thinking about it, just get one. You won’t regret it. JUST BE CAREFUL. IT IS NOT A TOY.
