It's a product of the pandemic. It's fine. The entire premise of putting a cover over an instrument bell gets one star - unless it's truly necessary to protect others' health.

Bell covers are not pleasant to play through, but this one came with this third layer merv 13 “filter” that had a piece torn off on one side and had a slit cut into it, creating a flap of fabric. It was wadded up inside the bell cover and made my trumpet sound like a kazoo. I’m not sure how a filter with a slit really offers Covid protection. I can play okay with the cover sans filter, but my community band is requiring a three layer cover with merv 13 fabric.
