I lost my old retractable Singer measuring tape and couldn't bear the thought of going back to the folding type — unfortunately a lot of the retractable brands on Amazon had issues in the reviews re: inaccurate measurement markings, and I decided to spring for a more quality brand in the hopes it would turn out better. It seems to have thus far!The retractability on this tape is very good. It goes back in an instant and hasn't gotten stuck once. I don't really like the design, I find the particular shade of pink along with the polka dots to be a little garish...but it's a utility tool, not a decoration piece, so I'm leaving it be for now. I do wish it came in different colorways/designs.I generally use the metric side, and it seems in line with my old measuring tape. The size and shape are nice, it fits well into a bag, purse, or pocket if need be and the tape itself is reasonably thick and sturdy feeling. I do expect this to last a couple of years at least.

Very good quality. I am worrying about of VOCs in rubber products while this one satisfies me perfectly. The marks are clearly printed as well, I love this product.

This little tape measure is perfect for my crocheting and knitting! It's handy for the times when I check my current project's size (and even gauge!). I love that it's small and retractable. I wouldn't use it for bigger, sewing projects, but it's perfect for yarn projects.
