Hard to install and it will damage your door thing if you tighten it up

This pull up bar wasn't too hard to install, but it did take some testing and fine tuning to make sure it was secure without compromising the door frame. It's supported my 127lb weight without issue, though I don't put too much strain on it since my chin up count is pretty low, lol. The grip is good, so holding on is easy. You can tell there is a lot more strain on the door when my guy uses this, he's 220lbs. I haven't removed it to assess any frame damage, but it's been up there for months without issue. It's a good price, I'd say.

Quality is fine, but bought it hoping it would fit a narrow doorway. One of the images says 25”-40”. I measured my doorway and I got about 28.5” which is smaller than most pull-up bars can fit. I have trouble understanding how to get bar extended and compressed but I eventually figured it out even with the okay directions. Measuring the bar at its smallest length I can get it to is about 29.75”. Disappointed that an inaccurate image mislead me. I will keep it as I am moving within the year and will try to use it in the mean time in another location in the home.

Not happy with this product. It just slides down doorway. And if you tighten it too much it will split your door frame.

I got this bar for my son's birthday. Since this was our very first pull up bar, I was worried about damaging the door frame. Luckily, it is well constructed although it does NOT fit on some doors (depending on the thickness). It wasn't very hard to put together. He assembled it quickly and easily and was using it within 1/2 hour of opening the box! My son loves the comfortable sponge rubber hand grips. After using it for over a month, it seems sturdy and stays together. My son is ~155lbs -- we use it for basic pull-ups and hangs, knee raises, etc. I would not try swinging on it or anything, it is not designed for that.

I was worried this would damage my door frame, but after several months of use it seems to be fine. It works well and has no trouble holding up my body weight! I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a quality pull-up bar.
