Your cart is empty.The Telrad Pulser will greatly increase the battery life for your Telrad and in addittion it improves contrast by pulsing the reticle image on and off thus aiding in locating faint objects. Following the simple instructions you can easily install the pulser in a short time. Once installed, the original control knob still controls the power and brightness, and the new control knob will control the pulse speed of the reticle image. You can vary the pulse frequency from very slow to having the reticle image constantly on.

I did not know this update to a telrad was available. But, fortunately came across it in a article. Fitting was not possible using the instructions, my telrad is very old 10+ years. However installed it, and what a delight! having the light go on and off enabled faint alignment stars (Polaris) to be seen so much easier. definitely the best value for money ever in astronomy accessories.

The pulser works great and has clear instructions. They even provide a template that you can use to mark the hole locations. You have to drill two small holes for the new knob. Overall, the installation was simple and took about 10 minutes. The plastic is easy to drill.There are two small issues. First, when I went to put the battery holder back into the Telrad there wasn't much room left and I had to sliiightly wedge it in. I did use the provided twmplate for the hole location. I would say to drill your holes just a little bit more toward the end of the Telrad that faces the stars to leave more room for the batteries. Second, the wire nuts provided don't get a good grip on the wires that you need to connect together. I used Klein yellow gel snaps instead and they worked great. Extremely easy to use and no wire stripping is required...Klein Tools VDV826-604 UY IDC Connectors UY 22-26 AWG, 25-PackOverall. A really nice upgrade!

The instructions are clear, and the install is easier than I thought it would be. The pulsing really does make a difference for being able to center your telrad on dim objects.

Geez, wish I would have gotten it sooner. This is not a gimmick - it REALLY makes a Telrad even more amazing. To install, need to drill a little hole in the Telrad to mount its switch. The Telrad material is really soft- I was worried it would crack when drilling but no worries at all.

I wish the standard Telrad had this feature. I actually bought this because my Telrad got dropped and the battery compartment split and could not be repaired. Since this has a new battery compartment, I get that and the pulse too.

Does what it says. Easy to install if you are a DIY person. Instructions are clear and well written. I installed it on the Telrad I ordered the same day. I use it on my Celestron Nexstar Evolutuin 8.

I have this on two Telrad equiped scopes. Makes a huge difference in aligning on dim stars. Easy installation, quality components. One has been in use for about 10 years with no issues.

A must have for all Telrad owners !!Adds a pulsing reticle to the Telrad making it much easier to use on the field.Easy to install, takes no more than five minutes.
