This is great stuff. Works really well on jewelry. Makes it look like itโ€™s brand new fresh from the jewelry store.

I've taken up watch repair in my retirement. Cleaning, lubricating and repairing/replacing missing or broken parts of a watch are certainly a major part of getting it back to a useful running condition, but many times you first have to decide if a watch actually looks good enough to put the work into it. So many watches have been abused, and in many cases, simply "trashed." A good number of these can be brought back to an acceptable-to-good appearance with the right efforts, and a good portion of that is being able to buff out scratches, scrapes, dings and general aging that causes the watches' finish to degrade or even just wear-away. You can't always bring a case and/or its bracelet back, but in a surprising number of instances you can make it look much better. And depending on your personal preferences you may be be able to bring the watch to have a perfectly acceptable "new" look. That's what I've been using Purui's polishing/buffing kit to do. This kit consists of 4 different buffing compounds that allow you to start with an abused and worn case or bracelet, and work it back up to a nicely refinished look. It doesn't provide all the different levels of compounds that the industry can provide, but for me, it does span the most basic spread of compounds to do the job of bringing a piece back to a presentable, wearable place. Since I'm doing this work for fun and education, I've actually returned a number of vintage and current watches to running and looking good. I started with this kit, remembering when I used to buff out much larger, heavier items (think car and motorcycle parts) and noted that the included compounds in the Purui kit certainly wouldn't last forever (these are relatively small sticks), but they are a good representation of the basic necessary compounds for what I was hoping to do. And I can say that the included compounds work very well; combined with my Dremel and the requisite buffing wheels, you can easily work your way through the 4 compounds and have a very nice finish when you're done. I can now order specific compounds now that I know how each is used and how aggressive it is. It does take practice in order to get a nice finish and at the same time avoid polishing-away all of an item's design or nomenclature details, but if you're interested in doing buffing/polishing of different materials/items, this kit is a good and affordable way to go. Recommended!

Although these are on the smallish side they worked out great for buffing.

I have always used Fitz for polishing pistol feed ramps. My ramps always came out good but it took forever to reach an acceptable finish. Decided to give this polishing compound a try. Started with the black and had the pistol chamber and feed ramp looking great in less than 5 minutes using a Dremel. Progressed to the green then to the white for the final polish. Total time for the entire polishing process for the chamber and ramp was less than 15 minutes. WOW! I will never go back to a single grit solution like Flitz or Brownells. This multi grit polish produces a much better finish and is super fast. An added bonus is that this compound is semi-solid like stiff clay and doesn't slig polishing compound all over the place like Flitz does. I highly recommend this compound for polishing firearms.

Make sure you have the correct wheels. Don't add too much applied pressure or else you'll potentially pit out the material (I used to be in metal finishing in medical devices). Great product. Worked well on my wife's purse! Would highly recommend!
