I usually op for a taller vessel just so I don’t have to mess with sizing these because they’ll just fall apart and I have yet to figure out how to make them shorter without that happening. But with my testing candle, they worked just fine.

Make homemade candles, never had problems with standard wood wicks and wicks, thought we’d try this instead. Bought 3 inch, for a 4oz candle. Immediately burns the wood until it goes out less than 10seconds. Continuously tried to burn it, would extinguish itself in

These work great but I was surprised they were so short. I probably should’ve paid more attention! I still use them though and they burn great. Easy to assemble and use.

I didn't have an issue with these burning but it's my first time using a double wood wick like this and I did make the mistake of putting it in a large candle thinking it would be "double the wick". These are a little deceiving in that you think they would melt a lot of wax very fast, but they don't. The larger candle I put it in did have an issue keeping a big flame because the wax pool around the wick kept growing and almost snuffing the flame out. I tried a smaller circumference candle and they work perfectly. So be aware these don't burn hotter or faster than a normal wood wick in fact I think they burn less making them good for smaller candles not larger ones.

I have been making handcrafted candles for several years, the supplier I use has wicks on backorder with 6 week lead time, so I took a chance ordering these and I couldn't be happier with them. They were used in 8oz candle tins with 3" diameter. After trimming the wooden wick and lighting I had a nice even melt pool in about 45 min and burned consistently to the end. Definitely more expensive than my bulk supplier but excellent wicks!
