The Pyrex lid is measured from the outside edge to opposite outside edge, so if you are looking for a replacement lid for a cast iron skillet, you need to know that. 8.75" was the inside rim to rim diameter of my skillet, so unfortunately this great lid did not fit. It was undersized for my skillet.

After numerous delays in shipping, the 6.5" lid I received is not even close to the 8.75" lid that I ordered. Really surprised that a Helton Tool would just send me whatever they have in stock without regard to size

You can put this clear cover over a bowl of prepared food and put it that way in the fridge. Then you can see what is there, as compared to covering with foil or a plate. Also you can take it directly from the cold, and put it and the bowl in the microwave. Easy to keep clean.

I needed a replacement for Pfaltzgraff stoneware Sphere pattern casserole lid. This is a perfect match! Only difference was the glass has slight blue-green tinge. Also, shipper wraps so thoroughly that glass could have survived 10' drop!
