Excited to finally receive my order today, however, this item is Made in China, not made in Japan like I thought it was, very misleading supplier name; next item, I used Google translate and read the instruction in Japanese translated to English, major discrepency as advertised here is 'DO NOT USE IN DISHWASHER', meaning 'it is not dishwasher SAFE', again, misleading on descriptives.

I lost my old donabe while moving cross-country and got this one as a replacement. This donabe arrived packed very securely and in perfect condition. It's great - a really nice size for 1 - 2 people (the 7" size quoted is just the interior of the pot) and a good weight without being too heavy or bulky. It heats up well on an electric stove and holds its heat for a long time, and it's really pretty as a bonus!

Very handy. Use it for heating things in microwave, and put my meal in it and then put leftovers in fridge. Its so handy with that lid. It feels nice with its weight. All around a perfect dish to have.
