The price sealed the deal for me - especially after my local music store quoted an eye-watering $1,600 for their basic student cellos. Did my homework with measurements and everything checked out perfectly. Two weeks in, I'm blown away: this cello's held its tuning flawlessly since day one (haven't touched those pegs after the initial setup!).Took it to that same music store for a pro opinion - their resident string specialist actually praised the warm tone and surprising projection. Shockingly good for a starter cello! Bought this as a stepping stone before splurging on a 'big name' instrument for my son. Let’s be real – at this price, I expected a cardboard soundbox that’d collapse in a week. Boy, was I wrong.The tone’s way warmer than it has any right to be, and the craftsmanship? Solid. No cheap plasticky vibe – it’s got proper weight like a 'real' cello, with a glossy finish that fools everyone. Even the bow feels legit.Does it rival a $3k cello? Obviously not. But as a 'will my kid actually stick with this?' solution? Game-changer.
