I purchased this to press my seams down when I am sewing with vinyl, clear vinyl, WPC and TPU. I first used it with a lot of pressure and that worked okay but I found that if I heat it up a little with my blow dryer and roll over the seams slowly and with pressure, the seams will lay down flatter. Make sure not to get it too hot or else it will melt your vinyl!

I had hoped this would help be smash down seams when I fold them over - double seam thickness - but that was asking too much of the fabric, didn't work. That's alright though, I have plenty of work to do that will keep this tool working for a long time. It is definitely heavy, don't have to push so hard, which is very nice.

Nice smooth surface roller with good weight and cheap wood handle. Roller has some play to it, not a tight fit on shaft, but it gets the job done at this price point.
