These work really well for me. Good value for the money. Lifts the hood of my car without any problems,fits the car perfect, doesn't interfere with the hatch opening.

Worked great on the hood of a 2009 Avalon XLS. Big quality of life upgrade from using a stick to hold it open!

If you are suffering from a saggy hood that keeps falling on your head, this is what you need. These have the exact same look and fit as the original equipment. Some of the other ones for sale looked like they had a smaller diameter cylinder which made me question how much gas they had in them. These are gas charged cylinders and when gas gets cold in the winter it looses pressure. These were a breeze to put on the car. All you have to do is press them on the stud. Removing the old ones takes more time. I recommend using a small screwdriver and just popping the retaining clip all the way off. Then you can pry under the now "free" socket to remove it from the ball of the stud. If all the original grease has dried up, put a small dab on each ball before you pop on the new cylinder. Project done.

Bought these for the misses car, 2005 toyota avalon front hood support. She has been carrying a stick for it and when I caught wind of that...off I went to fix that. Product works!
