The funnel fits the lower unit as described and I placed the bungee cord to secure as noted in the instructions. There was very little that dripped along the back side of the funnel and was easy to wipe clean. In the future I will place a little piece of ticky tack or thin neoprene foam on the back side at the opening for the plug, which should stop any dripping. Well worth the price to avoid a mess and major cleanup.

It does its a job, the 2009 Verado drains up high and oil sows way past thing. It’s useless on this model 150 hp Verado

The funnel does not get close enough to the out drive to capture the oil after the steady flow stops and turns to a fast then slow drip. Have plenty of shop rags available because this worthless once the steady flow becomes fast drip. The oil escapes between the funnel and the out drive and promptly covers that side of the out drive. If you don't notice it and re-position your oil drain pan YOU WILL HAVE A MESS to clean up. Not only the out drive but your driveway.

If you have a mercury and change your own oil then this is a must. Hands free and easily drains oil into pan with easy clean up.
