This tool is so you don’t rip the ends off the sparkplug wires.. it’s need on all sparkplug changes today..My tool worked great and the boots just popped right off.. great price.. tool is steel and welded together. Good welds not cheap worth the price.

One person expressed concern for the sharp edges, and with good reason. They do have an unrefined or unfished quality to them, sure. But nothing that's going to hurt you by any means. I took a Dremel tool to mine, smoothed every thing out and shaped the edges or any areas of concern. Then painted the metal because the finish was cheap. For the money it was a decent deal. I wasn't expecting perfection. And now it works great. Very little work to save a few bucks. I'm a mechanic, I don't need shiny, I need functional. That's what I got. Handle is comfortable, smooth open / close etc.
