They go right on. One must assemble the high side one.I could not hold vacuum and I could not be sure if these fittings were the leakers or not.Thanks.

The low side fits but not the high side. I need 3/8 female threaded. Had to return it.

Tigbear R12 to R134A AC Fitting Adapter Kit, R12 to R134A Conversion Kit, 90°Port Retrofit Adapter High/Low Pressure Port Retrofit Adapter with Valve Core for Auto A/C Refrigerant SystemI have a 1991 Jeep Cherokee Laredo XJ that has it's original air conditioning system that is built for R12 refrigerant (Freon). The system hasn’t been in use for a long time but I am attempting to update it to use the R134a refrigerant. I got this adapter kit from Tigbear and I’m very pleased that it’s well made. I really like that the kit offers straight and 90 degree adapters for both the High and Low pressure sides. I took off the old fittings and was able to put on the new Tigbear fittings with no problems. The biggest challenge I faced was getting the old low pressure fitting off – it was on there like it was welded! Anyway now that I have the system set up to accept the R134a refrigerant I can proceed to evacuate the a/c system and attempt to complete the conversion. Wish me luck!

These go over the existing valves. They are solid metal, brass in appearance, and the valve activates the valve they are attached to, though if you’re evacuating the system anyway it might be prudent to remove the old valve core.It has an o ring inside the part that connects to the old fitting.Overall it works, and being solid metal there’s just not a lot that can go wrong that can’t be fixed with a new valve core. The core removal tool has two sizes.

These R12 to R134A Adapter Fittings will come in handy when I need them......the kit is complete so there should be no trouble matching the fittings up.

I ordered that kit in order to retrofit a R12 system in classic truck to R134a. First of all, the plastic caps didn't have rubber seals and the threads were already ripping apart when received. Also, the high pressure adapter was the wrong size for the high pressure port on my hose. The low pressure side adapter would fit but I decided not to use it considering its cap was useless and the overall bad quality of the kit. Only the schrader valve tool has a certain value in this kit.

I have a 1987 Toyota cressida that was originally r12 and I converted to r134. These fit right on the original fitting and let me hook up to a modern AC machine for refill. Nice im staying cool in the summer !
