I have bought it for ski touring and absolutely love it. It is very breathable in comparison to goretex, but still well waterproof. I stayed dry after 5 hours in falling snow. I love the large vents at the front, I run very hot and they are very nice, there are also vents in always place at the back of the arms, I wish they were larger. My only complaint is the front vents serve as well as pockets but are not stitched and open at the top so skiing down I would not keep anything there in case of falling out, which pretty much means no functional pockets in this jacket. This brand runs small, I normally wear small size in any US clothing, I bought this one is medium and it fit well. The size chart was very accurate.
