My original cable had a tear and connection was loose. Not a fan of the coiled cord as it puts tension on the connection which caused it to tear in the first place. This was much cheaper and having 2 USB charging ports is nice. It doesn't have the mute button but I knew that since this is an aftermarket product. If you want the mute button get the OEM power cord, all of the aftermarket alternatives don't have the mute buttons.

This one is great other than how short it is. It has the reinforced ends which helps with longeveity. It has two usb ports that make everything in the car super convenient. And my favorite part is that the cord isn't coiled! If you want to hide the cord behind trim this one may not work for you. It won't work if you want you detector on the top of the windshield which is where I wanted mine. Be sure to measure the path you want to take and add maybe a foot to be certain. I was half a foot short.

Works perfect, the 2 USB's provide power to my phone chargers and makes my overall gadget cluster, well less of a cluster. Great value. Works as advertised.

First one i got didnt stay plugged in consistently but the replacement i got fit perfectly on my valentine one. Nice to have a straight cable rather then a coiled one as it allows me to hide the cord behind trim pieces easily.

Works fine just kind of short for how I wanted to install it.

While the style of this is preferable to the one which came with the radar detector, the "life" is simply unacceptable. The one that came with was like an old style coiled phone cord. That resulted in constant pulling on the radar device and eventually was a total mess. This one works better assuming you have enough length and you should measure from the device down the path you want to lay the wire and into the charger. You need to leave a few inchs extra just to be safe. The plastic ends on each side broke off meaning that there was no longer anything snapping it into place and just the slightest movement would result in it falling out. And of course not fixable. That is a lot of money for something that last less than 6 months.

Hate those coiled power cords that they advertised as six foot but are actually two feet that when plugged in go across my radio and navigation maps screen. This cord is not coiled, plenty long, and I can rout it around my entertainment screen.
