Visor bracket works, but for the price the metal is thin little flimsy.

I bought a Uniden DFR9 Radar Detector and the only option that Uniden offers to mount it are suction cups. I much prefer the visor clips that I have relied on for years and I ordered this one hoping that it would fit. It does fit, although not perfectly snug, but it is much better than the detector dropping off the suction cups all the time.

I would agree with some of the others who said that it is a bit flimsy or lightweight for the price! I like the visor mount over the suction cup type though and I could only find one or two other visor mounts. One I had to modify to make it work and it still didn't work very well and it was supposed to be made for Cobra radar detectors. I have two Cobra XRS 9685's aka 9630 and this is the only visor mount I could find that would fit it. It isn't an exact fit but if you gently wiggle the bracket into the detector it will go about 3/4 of an inch into it, about the spot the tab/tongue widens. With mine it is tight enough it holds the detector well and supports it better than the $7.95 (that is what I paid) cheap, now made out of plastic, looks like a belt clip alternative. I put mine up and leave it to cut down on stress to the mount. Wish it was a little stronger but so far it works well for me and I couldn't find anything else even close to working with my Cobra. I don't know why a good visor mount is so hard to find.

After receiving this clip I attempted to install it on the visor of my Honda Insight. However there was simply no way that it would securely fit onto my car’s visor. This is being returned for refund.
