I have an uninsulated two car garage door that is exposed to the sun (in the southwest) that gets a lot of daily summer exposure. The result is a excessively hot garage on those hot summer days. So when I saw this 4X50 foot Radiant Barrier Insulation Roll, I decided to order it. The 200 square foot roll should be adequate for covering most of the garage door and my preliminary experiments indicates that it will be easy to install on the uninsulated garage door panels. It i will be easy to cut this to size and apply to the panels on the garage door panel section with some spray adhesive.

Excellent radiant barrier with foam. No double bubble here!! Have used many types of radiant barrier insulation while building out my property. This type is my absolute favorite acting as radiant barrier & minimal thermal break- its perfect for many applications! This roll will be enough to finish the last bare metel areas inside my container home. It is a high-quality product w/ excellent foil & 1/4" medium dense foam. This is my first layer against the interior steel - taped to the steel and at every seam again it creates an air break and stops the sweating metal. I started with double bubble - much of which was replaced even before the walls were finished! K This product compares very well to my favorite foam backed radiant barriers- the ones i buy again and again ...its actually hard to tell them apart! The 48"x50 roll is a good deal - great for large areas! Between studs or in areas that may need to conform to shapes( corrugations) the 2ft rolls are easier to manage.Very happy with this product. I will order again !!

I ordered this to make a windproof skirt around an RV. The roll was plenty for covering circumference of a 29 foot Class A RV with some to spare. We did a quick tape on the frame for this year since it was in the teens when we ordered this but we hope to build it out into a more permanent, easily to install yearly for next winter. It really kept the warmth in underneath the RV and kept the floor warmer which meant no more frozen plumbing, we hope! We also covered the big bedroom windows with it and it kept the bedroom draft free and only took a few minutes to cut to size and place between the built in window shade and glass. I'm hoping it will block the sun and heat on the southern side of the winter during the dog days of summer also. A great buy when it was too darn cold to head to the home improvement store for a fix. Very handy material for all weather!

I love it. That does exactly what I need. But it is very pricey, also found others that's not cheaper

I recently had the opportunity to use the Radiant Barrier Insulation Roll, Wall Insulation Roll, and Radiant Barrier product, and I'm thoroughly impressed. The reflective thermal metal foil is a standout, and its application in my ceiling and attic was straightforward. The 48-inch width and 50-foot length of the roll provided ample coverage, making the installation process efficient. I immediately noticed a difference in temperature regulation; the product effectively reflects heat, keeping the space cooler and more comfortable. The white foam component of the insulation also contributed to its effectiveness. Beyond just temperature control, I've observed a significant reduction in energy costs. This insulation solution is a game-changer for anyone looking to improve their home's energy efficiency. Whether you're insulating a ceiling, attic, RV, floor, house, pole barn, or any other building, this product delivers on its promise to provide superior insulation.

This is a new type of radiant barrier insulation material that I have not tried. My attic has bubble wrap and the thin sheet type of radiant barrier installed. There are still spots taht we missed or were too high up to get to. This material was applied over the missing spots. I am trying to get the whole attic wraped in radiant barrier before summer gets here. This material is 3mil thick and should insulate better than the sheet type of raidant barrier. This material was easy to cut with scissors. It was easy to staple this to rafters and plywood sheets.

I recently installed the SmartSHIELD 5mm Reflective Insulation Roll in my attic, and it's made a noticeable difference. The material is lightweight and easy to cut, making the installation process straightforward. It effectively reflects heat, keeping the space cooler during the day. The clean white finish adds a neat appearance, and the insulation also serves as a vapor and sound barrier. Overall, it's a cost-effective solution for improving energy efficiency in various areas of the home.

This insulation is a decent option for situations where space is limited or you don’t need heavy-duty thermal protection. It’s only about 3mm thick, but the material is dense and surprisingly effective as a radiant barrier in small or enclosed areas. Installation is straightforward—it cuts easily with basic tools and is flexible enough to fit around tight corners or irregular shapes, making it ideal for garage doors, sheds, or other tricky spots. While it’s not the most heavy-duty option out there and wouldn’t be the first choice for high-insulation needs, it does the job well for lighter applications. Its best feature is the versatility—great for lining areas where bulkier insulation wouldn't fit. Overall, it's a solid solution if you’re looking for something lightweight, easy to work with, and functional in a pinch.
