I'm just a guy that likes to work on stuff around the house as much as I can, and don't have a huge amount of tiling experience. I feel like this tile cutting system is not something the average homeowner is going to make good use of at the end of the day because it's really meant for cutting huge tiles and the listing doesn't really make this clear in my opinion. I had some tiles left over from my last renovation and while I did manage to make it work (the "pliers" included to split the tile along the score is actually amazing) the time it took to set it up and how ungainly it was to work with for what I had was not really worth the trouble. The tool itself is pretty well made, it's mostly metal and while the fit and finish of the details of the tool is not top notch it's more than good enough and I have no reason to believe it won't be reliable. I also have to give this credit for coming with an actually usable storage case that doesn't feel like it's going to fall apart immediately and also has more than enough room to keep everything organized without being a pain in the rear to get things in and out of. Also keep in mind that this does not come with any kind of board to work off of you'll need to find something yourself - technically you can make it work without an extra support surface but I wouldn't risk it if the material is expensive.

We just did some flooring and wall projects with this cutter and it worked out great. This tile cutter makes my DIY projects look professional with clean, straight cuts. Setting it up was quick—just adjust the rail and lock it in, done in 5 minutes. My buddy used it for his backsplash and said it was way easier than he expected. The long rail handles big tiles no problem.

My son has his own home repair company, and needed a tile cutter. So we got this, and it has NOT DISAPPOINTED! This tool has worked great for his needs! The tile cutter works perfectly, and the rail helps to keep things straight and lined up.He has been able to complete 3 showers and a kitchen backsplash since this arrived, so it has already paid for itself! Highly recommend.
