My vehicle is a 2007 Expedition EL. No air ride, regular struts. I bought and installed the struts 1 year ago, 19,485 miles on them. This review is based on my personal experience. These struts may work fine on a standard length Expedition.First, they never leveled the truck. The front end was always about 1" higher.Second, they never supported the tongue weight of any trailer I towed. Heavy trailers I expect to "squat" the truck some, but my small 6x12 utility trailer (unloaded) and small boat squat the rear. These same trailers do not squat the rear of my wife's identical Expedition with factory struts.Third, they have lost their ability to dampen, even adjusted to the highest setting of 9.I called Rancho today and was told that these are not designed for the EL length Expedition, only the Standard Expedition. At the time I purchased these, Rancho's website listed these for the EL and the standard Expedition. Currently Amazon and other vendors still show this as fitting Expedition EL.The Rancho technical support rep said that my symptoms are indicators that this product was not designed for the extra length of the EL and acknowledged that Rancho's website, and all the other websites they provide info for, is misleading. He apologized for the mix up offered no help, warranty or monetary. My suggestion is do not buy this product if you have an EL model.I hope this review helps

UPDATE: The front passenger side strut failed! I just took my truck in for it's annual roadworthiness test, and it failed. And justifiably so, it bounces quite a bit on the passenger front side. Should have paid more for proper durable and long lasting shocks. Would be better off with a lift kit and a set of fox shocks on all corners. And just to reiterate that the springs are rather weak when compared to OEM springs.NEVER AGAiN!I wanted to thoroughly test these struts before writing a review, and so after 6 months, I am somewhat satisfied. You will get enough lift to clear 34 inch tires (which was my main reason for getting them), as long as you stick to factory offset wheels. As soon as got my aftermarket kmc xd monster 2s, I get quite a bit of rubbing on 3/4 compression, especially in the rear. Also, after 6 months, I now have to get a 1.5 inch spacer in the back to eliminate the "sagging" look, as the rear sits 1 inch lower than the front. And this gets worse if I carry weight in the rear. In terms of customization of how firm or soft the ride is, it is as advertised. As for off-road performance, the stiffer setting offers the best performance, but don't mistake these for king or fox suspension shocks. My bump stops look as if they took quite a beating (I do a lot of desert/sand offroading).Overall, average struts that give you enough clearance for 34s but make sure you get a spacer for the rear.

2007 Ford Expedition EL, awesome shock, but lifted the front almost 2" Above the rear. Produced excessive angles on front end components, and super excessive when I hitched my travel trailer to rear bumper, which kicked the front end up higher. Rancho/Tenneco technician and warranty people unable to explain the excessive lift on this stock vehicle, and also found the spring was somewhat weaker than the Ford OEM. After their very careful study of any possible solutions, none was found to get the front down. In my observations, this part presumes the front is lower than the rear on stock vehicles, but every one of the third gen's I have seen has about 1" front lift on them. The shocks rode GREAT otherwise. Technical support and warranty are 5 STAR SUPERB. They refunded all my costs and I put on OEM shocks and springs, which produced perfect lift and a softer but reasonably firm ride. Bottom Line, misfitted for 2007 Expedition EL. Great shock otherwise. Outstanding customer service.

Excellent struts. The lift is where the vehicle should sit from the factory. Great ride and towing capability. Put them a 2007 Ford Expedition XLT EL.

Received these very quickly but when I went to put them on, the Right Front (RS999925) is the same shock as the Left Front (RS999940.) This is annoying to say the least. the bolt pattern does not match up. I also noticed that the new shock is the same length as the old shock. Doesn't look like any 1.25 in lift will come out of this! I am leaning towards returning all four and ordering something else. I don't need the aggravation of having to send stuff back and wait for the correct parts.

I purchased a set of four Rancho quickLIFT shocks for my 2011 Ford Expedition EL. First off, the packaging on one of the boxes was terrible; it arrived with the tape coming off and partially open. There was only one sheet of packing paper used to cushion the inner box which came close to punching a hole in the end of the outer box. The other three arrived in good shape with plenty of padding. During the installation of the front struts, there was a problem with the enclosed tower nuts on one of the units not fitting the studs. The nuts would fit the other three units but not the one it came with. The problem was the thread pitch of the nuts was different than the studs (SAE-metric issue?). Come on Rancho, get it together!!!!There was no installation information on Rancho’s web for the Expedition, but the F-150 tutorial works for the front shocks. I found web site that described rear spring replacement for a Lincoln Navigator which is the same procedure for an Expedition.I have 50K miles on the vehicle and I was starting to experience a front end bounce when going over speed bumps. After installation and the shocks set at level 4 the bounce is gone and the ride is very smooth. A check of the caster and camber after the installation showed not much of a change; still in spec. However, the toe setting was way off, too much tow in.Except for the poor packaging and a very frustrating experience with the nuts, the outcome was good.
