This is the most comfortable neck strap for saxophones. Way more so than the standard nylon strap type. It relieves the tension on your neck and distributes it more widely. It also provides a more stable and ergonomic position for playing.

This saxophone neck strap is very sturdy and has thick padding, so it is very comfortable for long play sessions. Very happy with the quality and size of this strap.

Simply put, this is a strap for placing on a saxophone so you can play it while standing. It seems rather mundane but it is perfectly optimized for that specific use, and it is actually really difficult to play a sax standing, or sitting, without a strap. You are required to bear the weight of the instrument while also pressing the keys in a very specific way, and that makes it very difficult.The strap is comfortable, a good length for most people to keep the sax close to the body and the hands in place for fretting the instrument. It is a rather basic tan color, although I would probably have gone with a black or white to match many school band uniforms, but you can decorate it anyway you want. If you or your child are beginning to play a saxophone, you should definitely buy this product!
