I've used this gear setup for years, so when I recently lost my old one I immediately ordered what I thought would be an identical replacement. It is not. The clippers and tools don't fit the o-ring that is attached to the lanyard. But worse, the pliers are much shorter and have these unnecessary finger stops that prevent you from retrieving hooks deep within a Bass' mouth. Totally useless. Now I have to order a separate pair of pliers that are longer and don't have the finger stops. I was fishing with friends the same week I got these tools and didn't have time for a return. Burn.

I bought this mostly for the hook sharpener. The sharpeners are silly expensive by themselves so I bought this and get all the extras which will always be used on the boat.

Athe pliers and line clippers are good, but the jig buster is worthless (doesn't work). The hook sharpener is just OK

The Rapala pliers, clipper & hook sharpener are a very handy & useful set of tools to keep in your fishing bag. The tools are made of excellent material & have withstood repeated use in Fresh water & saltwater without any damage.

Bought the set because of the trusted Rapala name and was not disappointed. Set was very useful especially the jig buster and clippers which I use way more than I ever imagined. You obviously can live without it but it is much nicer living with the set. Worth every penny.
