Raven Features
Dual Brand Flash Triggering
Trigger Two Different Flash Brands At The Same Time With One Transmitter. The Raven offers the unique ability to trigger and control power levels of two different flash brands at the same time all by itself, no other transmitter needed! Choose between two different brands such as Profoto, Paul C. Buff, Godox (includes Flashpoint &Pixapro), and PocketWizard FlexTT.
TTL, Manual & PowerTrack Modes
Quick, Easy & Efficient Flash Control. In fast-paced shoots, let your Raven and camera act as your lighting assistant with TTL flash control keeping lighting easy so you can focus on your event. Simply pair your Raven to a TTL compatible light or PocketWizard FlexTT and let the Raven do the rest.
Raven Manual control mode currently supports 4 zones: A, B, C, and D.
PowerTrack is a hybrid flash control mode that automatically adjusts your flash power level based on changes made to your current aperture, ISO, or combination of aperture and ISO.
SyncView, HSS & Rear Curtain Sync
Optimize your high-speed flash photography and move beyond HSS. SyncView is a feature that allows you to shoot faster than your cameras sync speed by using the strobes normal full flash pulse.
Focal Plane/High-Speed Sync (HSS) is a creative tool that allows you more artistic control when there is the need for a faster shutter speed to freeze moving subjects, action sports, and to control the ambient light.
The Raven gives you the ultimate control for the most precise timing when performing Rear Curtain Sync.
RF Noise Indicator
It is no longer a guessing game as to which channel you should use to trigger your lighting equipment or to trigger your remote camera. The RF Noise Indicator now solves this issue and knowing the channel you select will work with predictable and reliable results.
Additional Raven features
MultiPop & SpeedCycle
Formerly an intense manual process, MultiPop is now an intelligent approach to triggering multiple flash pops in a single frame. Set the number of pops (from 2 to 60) you’d like for a single zone or each zone independently and the Raven will automatically send a sequence of triggers to flashes based on the timed manual interval of your choosing.
SpeedCycle brings sequential flash triggering of multiple strobe heads to the tip of your fingers when a quick short sequence is a necessity for those fast-paced rapid shooting situations where the strobes are not capable of recycling fast enough by allowing you to sequentially trigger 2 or more strobes.
Remote camera triggering: Radio, Sound and Light
The Raven is the most robust two-way radio platform ever created for photographers to trigger remote cameras. With Radio trigger mode you have up to 130 channels with Raven-to-Raven use, and up to 80 channels with Raven to PocketWizard Plus IIIe, and Plus IVe radio units.
Just as it says, you can set the Raven receiver to be triggered by sound. You simply adjust the sound sensitivity by rotating the command ring dial to a hyper-accurate level that works for your existing environment.
The third method of triggering a Raven receiver, Light trigger mode can work two different ways, either by a flash of light or when an object breaks a beam of continuous light shining at the nose of the Raven receiver.
OLED touchscreen, lithium-ion battery, WiFi updates
The Raven has a full color 1.4” OLED capacitive touchscreen display protected with a Gorilla glass layer, that can automatically dim and brighten depending on lighting conditions. The Raven also features a haptic command ring dial for making power level adjustments and scrolling through various modes and features.
The Raven has a built-in 2500mAh rechargeable lithium-ion battery that delivers up to *16 hours of continuous use (users may experience up to 30 hours of use depending on environmental conditions).
The Raven has a built-in Wifi chip that allows you to connect to 2.4 GHz WiFi networks, or using a cellular hotspot, to perform firmware updates and install new Raven features via the cloud.
Nose light: Fill Light, Auto and Manual Focus Assist light
The Raven’s Fill light offers a color temperature range of 2700K to 6500K, as well as the ability to adjust the brightness making it perfect for macro photography.
Customize your menu settings to have the Focus Assist light automatically turn on when your camera is focusing. When selecting Auto or Manual Assist lighting you have the option of red or white light.
