My grandkids and I love making the homemade raviolis with this. I had bought more expensive ravioli attachment that didn't work as,well as this does. Worth every penny!!

This pasta set makes ravioli making so much easier! I love making my own pasta and have done ravioli before with a wheel tool and a fork for crimping, and they were ok, but with this set it is just so much easier, and better. I really like the frame, I just roll out a long wide sheet of pasta and lay one end over the frame, then put a scoop of filling in each square then fold the other end of the sheet over the top and use the wooden roller to press it all together and it cuts the squares at the same time. works really great!

This is a nice set of "tools" that allow you to make/accomplish a number of different things. The main focus, it seems, is on the ravioli press, which allows you to make 8 ravioli at a time.I agree with others who have stated that this is by no means suitable (or intended) for "professional" (i.e. heavy-duty) use. These are constructed for occasional use by a home cook, and for that purpose, the degree of sturdiness seems completely appropriate.My set came with a 3.25" diameter biscuit cutter. That's not mentioned prominently on the product description page. There's a general mention of the ability to make biscuits, and the ring is shown in only ONE of the photos on the product page. So that was sort of a nice little surprise extra. However, I'll note that the little pamphlet that comes with the set refers to a "cleaning brush" which I did not receive. The pamphlet claims this is intended to clean the teeth of the ravioli maker. I didn't see any mention of a brush on the product description page, so I was not expecting it. Perhaps they used to include it, but stopped, and never updated the included printed materials. Or perhaps it was just left out of my box.Speaking of printed materials, in addition to a pamphlet labelled "Mumsung Ravioli Maker," which I was describing above, there's also a second "User Manual" that seems focused on the dumpling maker. This 2nd pamphlet is longer (at about 10 pages) and goes into more detail about use of the dumpling maker than the 1st pamphlet goes into about the ravioli maker. The 2nd pamphlet also includes several recipes, such as for empanadas, pierogis, Jamaican beef patties, and apple turnovers. I should mention that the dumpling maker is only 2.5" in diameter -- which is the right size for a dumpling, but NOT the size of any empanada, Jamaican beef patty, or apple turnover I've ever seen. That's because, when all is said and done, this is a DUMPLING maker -- NOT an empanada maker or Jamaican beef patty maker. Sure, they're similar in concept, so you COULD make one of those with this device. They'd just be unusually (and perhaps laughably) small!My main complaint is that this set is sort of like selling a tool kit to a novice. Sure, it has a bunch of handy tools, but when and how are you supposed to use them all? While the 2 manuals describe use of the ravioli maker and the dumpling maker, I'm not 100% clear on how or when I'm supposed to use the ravioli wheel or the 2 stamp makers. Basically, I'm wishing the instructions were better, and covered ALL of the included tools. That's what lost them a star. Otherwise, I'm pretty happy with this item.

I was always wanting to get a ravioli maker set. This set also comes with pieces for making Empanadas, Pierogis, Chinese dumplings, potstickers, turnovers and hand pies. With a user's manual that contains recipes. I used the ravioli maker, and it worked well. I was disappointed that there wear no instructions on how to use it or recipes, but I was able to figure it out. I would buy it again and would recommend it to you. It would make a great gift for a special cook.

This is a great simple kit with everything you need to make homemade ravioli. I have the ravioli maker for my KitchenAid, but it goes a little too fast. I prefer this kit, which allows me to slow down the process. Good quality tools, simple instructions, and you even get a dumpling mold for making Chinese dumplings or pierogis. Great value for the price!
