I was on the fence about one these, and was leaning towards the Protek one, but this has two individual spring loaded slides which is great for plugs since both wires and plug are held independently and very tight.I did deduct a star bc it doesn’t come with any kind of anti slip feet (easily remedied with some extra stick on silicone feet I had in a drawer) and a couple of the screws were loose. I just added blue loctite and retightened.Either way I’ve done some perfect soldering with this. Much better than the old alligator clip helping hands.

This is a great way to get clean well soldered connectors.Those alligator clamp wire soldering stations just dont work well for RC connectors, and doing it without some sort of way to hold the connector gets sketchy.Easy to openEasy to solder inHolds tightAdjusts to most size wiresGenius way to hold connectors for soldering, if your in the hobby and sick of other methods to solder connectors, this is for you.

Simple and handy tool. It's a little on the light side so it needs something to hold it down. A couple of magnets would work.
