Item can sustain 780w output, close enough to the 800w rating.Efficiency not so good: when outputing 780w it draws around 860w, making it less than 90% efficient.STRONG burning plastic smell: while internal temperature only reached ~110f, the smell was so strong I had to open the windows for ventilation in my RV. They're using some cheap plastic here.

Item arrived dead and failed to power on. It came without a three prong power cord I had to supply.

Well if you need it you need it and there is nothing that does this at 18amps. Easy to use, love wifi, cannot figure out a few things but oh well it does more than i expected to start with. not for use in the bedroom :-), is loud as others noticed. For the noise you can find some suggestions online as this unit is fairly popular and lot of DIY for it. I got it to charge my batteries and for small design projects. I have seen that there is plenty of noise on the output so for precise electronics you may need to add a circuit to clean it up. overall i am happy i do not need to baby sit as I can see what is going on via my cell phone via my network and that includes temperature sensors.

This means they could not possibly install any PSU other than a very cheap, miniaturized power supply inside that will probably only last a month. This one came from AVHzY store and it looks like they are cutting corners BIG TIME.It's probably going back because I already have an S60 case and wanted one in the S12A case for using larger and better power supplies.UPDATE:I was wrong about the case. The differences are subtle and mostly have to do with internal mounting and location of on/off switch and AC plug. I was expecting a physically larger case but the 65v 800watt power supply fits inside no problem. The unit was as expected and works well. Recommended

Easy to use and plenty of power! However, the rear power switch started to fail after a few months. Fortunately they sent a replacement switch ASAP which fixed the issue. A+ customer service!

I bought the whole machine, with the case, power supply and converter. I probably overpaid a little compared to buying it separately but I liked have the case. It let me 3D print a custom bracket for it to be angled to eye level. It works well enough and it's very easy to use and read.Better value than buying one of the purpose built variable power supplies. If they break, you're stuck with a paper weight, here you have three separate components that can be replaced over time. The generic 60V power supply will likely crap out at some point, but for the price that's fine. When it eventually happens i'll replace it with a higher quality one. At least he whole unit won't have to be scrapped. The power supply is a bit "noisy" (audible not electrical) there's a warning and resistor to add to lessen the noise, but DC power output seems pretty clean so i'm not bothered by it.Would recommend and will likely buy another one. Maybe i'll design my own case for it

I use this primarily for charging lithium-based battery packs. I have a number of custom packs that I'm using that are between 24 and 48 volts nominal, and they vary in cell count, charge rate, and the like. Most of my packs have charge rates of 10A or more, so a CC/CV programmable supply is perfect for my uses. You will need an external power source. I was able to pick up a 70V 20A switching supply online that serves my needs quite well, but YMMV. There is also a fully contained power supply that has a 70V 12A source in a box that uses this as the front end, so if you need a bench supply, I'd go with that instead. It's quite nice. There is a software update that is available for download, but it kicks off my malware filter and I am not willing to create a VM just to unpack it and extract the update image. It works just fine for my needs as is.There are more advanced features like wireless and USB connections that can allow for remote access and probably data logging, but for now I don't need either of those, and if I get to the point where I do, I will likely have other dedicated instruments do that.Accuracy seems pretty decent for my needs, looks like
