While the box itself seems to be very well constructed, the mounting system leaves a bit to be desired. I have the Truxedo X15 tonneau on my 2023 Ford F350, in order to be able to attach the box mounts you have to lower the mounting brackets so much that the provided clamps barely hold. Mine came loose twice. I ended up drilling through the mounting brackets, tonneau rails, and the lip of my pickup bed and fastened them in place with two quarter inch bolts.

I had one on my other F-150, and it worked great, holds a lot, easy to install, lightweight. Sold the truck with the toolbox, purchased a second for my new F-150, when I opened the box and opened the toolbox to install the plastic casting was horrible. Had one screw holding it all together. This box should have never passed inspection to be packaged and sold. I sent it back, took 27 days for refund/credit my account. I decided to go with a different tool box

I've been eyeing this tool box for awhile. I even contacted the manufacturer or supplier via text to make sure it was compatible with my bed cover. They replied yes it will fit.I went ahead and ordered it. It wasn't in stock at the time so it took awhile to arrive. It came UPS and arrived in good condition. I started to do the installation and there was no way the brackets were compatible with the brackets from my bed cover. I had to do major alterations on the brackets using an angle grinder and drill press. I was then able to mount the brackets to the existing ones for my bed cover. The rest of the installation was a breeze. It only took about 20 minutes.I like the box. It will be just fine for what I intend it for. It is a little shallow, but appears sturdy and well supported front and back. I included some photos. I hope this helps. My truck is a 2016 Silverado.

This tool box covers all of my needs but I would avoid it if you plan to put a lot of weight in it. I would highly recommend you have some kind of bed cover because the tool box only locks on one side so it wouldn’t be hard to break into. I like that it’s easily removable if you need to take it out for more bed space. Installation was pretty simple and straight forward but is definitely easier with a second set of hands. I would recommend this tool box for light duty and I personally wouldn’t keep a lot of valuable items in the box because it’s ease to get into.

Love this. Our used Truck (2017 Dodge Ram Long Bed) came with a Tonneau Cover. The truck needed storage. I was planning on a traditional over the rail Tool Box that would render our cover useless. Until I found this. I'm so glad I did not compromise.The Hard Plastic weight is ideal. Not too heavy and sturdy. The installation was easy however I did have a few questions. I was quickly able to reach someone and get knowledgeable assistance. BTW - I'm a small female. I unpacked and installed on my own.Because this tool box is recessed. It in no way interferes with my gooseneck horse trailer or bed storage. Yes, the cover closes completely, precisely like it always did - when I'm not hauling a Gooseneck trailer.My favorite things. It "hangs" on the Tonneau rail. This means there is storage and a gap under it for the long leveling boards used with the Living Quarter Horse Trailer I pull. Last but not least, it turns out there are two "gaps" between the Tool Box and the side of the truck bed. Those "Gaps" are the ideal size for 2 boxes of DEF of the drivers side and 1 squatty can of Diesel fuel on the right.I would recommend this tool box to anyone with a Tonneau cover on their truck bed

This is just what I needed. I needed to have a tool box but I wanted a tonneau cover as well. This setup worked perfect. I love how I still have a 6 inch gap so I can put plywood or lumber under the tool box. Tool box seems to be solid and well made. I've filled it up with my tools such as framing nail gun, skill saws, drills, etc, and had no issues with the weight. It didn't seem to bow in the middle with all the tools. It has decent amount of room. Install was easy and no drilling required. Only issues was that the tool box arrived with a ding on the corner. Most likely happened during shipping. not worth sending back/exchange. Also UPS guy dropped the toolbox off at the wrong house. I'm good with my neighbor so it worked out. Overall I'm happy with the tool box and how it works well with the tonneau cover. I've only had it for about 2 months. I will update if there are any issues.

I decided to go against my better judgement and ordered the toolbox for my new truck. I was expecting a large box considering the toolbox is approximately 55" x 23"x 15" according to the item description. Well several days later I receive a long box which measures 8"x8" and is about 9 feet long with the same product number on box. I rechecked my order and see that its supposed to be the Toolbox. So I open up the box to find a soft rolled up tonneau cover with rails instead. I already have a hard cover on my truck, I needed the toolbox! I closed the box, taped it closed and placed a return order for full credit. Let's see how that goes!

Used with Deuce tonneau cover from Truxedo. Fit perfectly on the Deuce rails. Used extra clamps to be safe. Watch the video, easy installation.

Fit my truck with no problem. It is holding my winch (80 pounds?) and some other gear. The weight doesn't seem to be too much for. Fits under the bed cover without a problem.Update: I was worried about the weight of the winch, but after 2 years, no problem! With recovery kit, chainsaw and 2 sets of chains (over 150lbs) there's no bending, cracking or other damage to the box. Very impressed!
