its a good idea, i wonder why vehicle manufacturers dont use these types of mirrors standard. using the stock rear view mirror gave me what was visible directly behind me. with this mirror my range of view is expanded both vertically (i can see almost the entire back seat instead of just the tops) and horizontally (which lets me see the area considered to be the "blind spot" on most cars). the tradeoff however is objects appear slightly smaller than in a stock rear view, like changing to a higher resolution on your monitor. there is a blueish tint which i have no idea what the purpose is. installation is incredibly easy .... so easy they didnt even include directions in the box lol. it just clips directly to your stock rear view pretty securely but would probably get knocked off if hit from the side with a decent force.

Initially I was not too keen on adding a contraption to our vehicle. But I was immediate impressed by the amazing panoramic and clear view this provides. It literally doubles the field of vision on both sides, basically eliminating the usual blindspot in the sides and rear. Nowadays one needs to have eyes in the back of one’s head as cars, motorcycles, bicycles and pedestrians come out of nowhere, especially in supermarket and retail parking lots. For the money this is a no brainer. Safety is paramount with precious cargo as children and family members. This expanded mirror gives a huge boost to driver visibility. And it is very easy to install, it basically just snaps into place. Very nice all the way around (no pun intended). :-)

This rearview mirror does capture all the usually hidden background areas behind my car while driving. It was very easy to attach and feels very secured, so it won't move or slide around. I'm glad that it didn't require adhesive attachment, so I can remove it without effort, if needed. In the Los Angeles county area, the traffic is very heavy and many cars drive fast, so I found myself more frequently coming close to accidents when trying to change lanes. The only thing I noticed, is that the mirror color is permanently dark, maybe for night vision. I would prefer natural during the day, but all in all, this is a good and very useful product.
