I bought these for my 2003 Tacoma extra cab side windows. At first, I couldn’t figure out why they added the metal rod. I thought it was replacement hinge pins, but I discovered that is what you use to out the pins. These are aluminum and will last the lifetime of the vehicle. These were easy to install and work perfectly. Install was easy after watching an online video using an adjustable wrench, #2 Phillips head screwdriver with a small hammer as well.

This was an exact match to the broken one pictured, 2001 Toyota Tundra Xtra cab. Followed instructions, pushed pins out with vise and channel locks and pushed pins back into new part. Doesn’t get any easier than that and new part made out of metal and not plastic. No modifications needed. Glad I didn’t listen to the negative reviews. Thank you for providing this product!!

had to drill out pins to work, but otherwise they fit well on my 2003 Tacoma

The plastic part is correct and fits as expected. The included pin is weird and useless, for several reasons. For starters, there's only 1 included when you need 2 pins per piece. Stock they use roll pins, not a solid pin. But the best part is, it doesn't even fit! It's too small! So it just falls right out anyways. Thankfully I managed to reuse the roll pins from the broken one I was replacing. 2/10, would just 3d print the plastic part next time for pennies instead.

I bought these to replace a broken one on my dad's truck. I popped the broken one out and when I went to put the new one in, it was too thick to fit into the window bracket. I had to use a jigsaw to rip it down and a file for a little final fitting. I do stuff like this at work all the time, so it wasn't really a big deal, but more of a half-expected minor inconvenience. But if you get these, be prepared to cut them down yourself or take them to someone who can.

la pieza es mas ancha que la original, fue necesario cortar la pieza y pulir para lograr que entrara en la apertura de la ventana, después de todo esto funciono bien.

I ordered these to replace the broken plastic ones. These replacements were too large and needed to be ground down to fit the bracket and latch. They holes also needed to be drilled out larger as the OEM pins did not fit through. They work well. But it took a lot more work than it should have to make work. No leaks after the install. But these definitely were not the correct size to fit without a lot of work.

New piece is a hard plastic like the old one. I verified that with a magnet. It’s just a little thicker. It took me about 10 mins to replace. It’s pretty straight forward. They even provide a stubby roll pin punch so you don’t need to make one. The window doesn’t snap like the one on the other side, but it stays shut. It also opens and stays open. Since you’re getting two for $7, in my opinion, this is a great replacement.
