At my age, I don’t need more cords tangling under my desk like a snake pit. This recessed power grommet is exactly what I didn’t know I needed. Fits right into my office table like it was built for it. Two outlets and fast USB-C charging? I can plug in my phone and still have room for my lamp and radio.The flush design keeps things neat, and the angled flat plug is a godsend behind tight furniture. Setup was simple—even for an old fella like me. If you're tired of crawling under desks just to charge something, do yourself a favor and install one of these.

This outlet has USB and USB-C ports, as well as a standard 12v outlet. The USB-C port charges quickly and has a tight fit. The outlet itself was easy to install. Use a hole cutter and insert the outlet, and thread the tightening ring from the opposite side. The outlet has plenty of depth, so you’re not limited to 3/4” furniture, like you would be with other brands. The cord is plenty long enough for my needs, but some people might want more length. Once the cord has been secured to the inside of the furniture it’s attached to there’s not much left over to get to the wall outlet. I installed this on a workbench which happened to be close to an outlet, but once I had secured the cord to the inside frame of the workbench I only had just enough to make it to the outlet. Which means had I not been right next to the outlet, I would’ve had to use an extension cord.This flush mount furniture outlet appears to be approved for use in all western countries, and I’ve had no concerns about safety. I’ve been using it for about two months now and I have no complaints.Overall, I think this is a great little outlet for anyone who might be diy-minded, or who may be looking to replace an existing one in a piece of furniture. Make sure you read the specs and understand what you’re getting, but for the price you really can’t go wrong with this one. I highly recommend it.

I purchased a new power grommet for my desk with electric adapters, USB type A and type C fast charging. I plan to buy another for my office desk because it is easy to install as well.

This little outlet upgrade was way more useful than I expected. We added it to our end table, and it instantly cleaned up the charging chaos. The fast charging actually is fast, which I appreciate since I’m usually running low at the worst times. Install was super simple—we already had a hole in the table from a previous grommet, so it took less than five minutes to swap out. The flat plug is smart too, doesn’t stick way out from the wall. Now I don’t have cords draped all over the place, and I can charge everything without fighting for outlets. Honestly, this should just come standard on furniture.

I installed this recessed outlet on my desk and it’s been super handy. I mostly use it to charge my phone and tablet during the day, and it works just like I hoped. The 2-inch size fits right into the standard hole I already had and it sits nice and flush with the surface which keeps everything looking clean. It’s also helped cut down on all the cord clutter. Both the power outlet and USB ports work great. No issues with charging speed so far.

I got this power grommet to replace a wireless charger and USB-A combo that came built into my desk, as the wireless charger was limited to 5W and I was only really getting use out of the USB-A port. Adding a 20W USB-C port and an actual outlet was a major upgrade for my desk which allows me to charge my laptop, headphones, headset, battery banks, mouse, or keyboard, up to 3 of them at a time, without fishing under my desk or on my surge protector for free outlets.The flat plug is very convenient and the 6' cord is plenty, if not too much for my use case. The opening I used this in was 2.5" and while the product description mentions it fitting 2-2.4" grommets, it fit just fine without falling through in the slightly larger hole and also took up less space than the wireless charger it was replacing. I was able to tighten the plastic nut so it wouldn't move and was a perfect fit, but keep in mind any larger pre-cut hole might be too big for this unit.Both ports and the outlet provided power without issue and all of them are snug fits when plugging cables or cords in. I normally don't like outlets that are loose and easily able to pull cords out of, but even this one was snugger than I was expecting which could be a personal preference.Definitely recommend for convenient, easy to access tabletop power.Note: My box arrived a bit damaged and looked as if someone unpacked the device and did their best to get it back in, but wasn't quite successful. I can't say for certain if it was previously used or not, but the device functioned as expected so I didn't take off any stars off for this oversight.
