Although this recorder is not wood, it looks like it. And the sound is very nice, which together make it a lovely instrument for the price!

Until reading the instructions I1st realized I was never going to understand music notes, too complex for me. And with COPD, I didn't have enough lung power to play this instrument. But found another instrument thumb played, a kalimba.

When I bought this Recorder for my Daughter the pictures showed a darkish brown color. But when my daughters Recorder came, it was almost purple looking. Its color look nothing like the photo.

I was specifically looking for a recorder made from wood. The listing says it's made of wood, then further down says plastic. This is just a cheap piece of plastic, and extremely squeaky--even for an already squeaky type of instrument. I can't stand it. I KNOW how to play one of these, know how to control my breath and fingers, and can't get it to sound nice at all.
