About this item

  • Creeping thyme is a hardy perennial widely used in aromatic landscaping as a trailing ground cover.
  • The silvery green leaves of creeping thyme give off an earthy floral scent similar to rosemary. It thrives as a vigorous ornamental herb known for its versatile horticultural benefits and scent.
  • Creeping thyme lawns are drought tolerant and require much less water than traditional lawns. Traditional lawns start to turn brown when hot weather rolls around, but not thyme.
  • Planting Instructions: 1. Sow seeds in containers, covering them lightly with soil (surface sowing - lightly press seeds into soil). Ideal temperature is 64-75 degrees Fahrenheit. (2) The soil should be kept moist, but not too wet. (3) As the plants grow up, they can be watered regularly to maintain proper moisture. Germination will take place between 14-21 days.

None of these seeds have sprouted. I'll update this review if they ever do. :(

They never even sprouted. So disappointing. Poor performance. No color. No durability.

Everything I read about starting creeping time said it was almost impossible to get started. . Well I made a nice soil mix around and above my rock walls. I planted the seeds. I put a very light dusting of soil over them and then also a very light layer of mulch. I watered them thoroughly twice a day and in a very short period of time they started to emerge. I was so delighted that so much of it germinated. I will continue to baby them until I get my first flowers. I truly was surprised they even germinated. very happy.

By the time you realize the plants aren’t growing, the return period has already passed. Besides, how do you even return seeds that didn’t sprout?

I'm not going to subject you to a picture, because I spread these in the dog yard. I dumped an entire pack (I bought 5) in a section of the yard they don't use much and then left them alone. I didn't cover them, press them in, or anything and now I see little shoots about a week later. I would guess maybe 1/2 the pack has sprouted so far. I spread them over mulch, though, not soil, so that's better than I expected. Will update with a picture after I clean the yard.

I’ve had these for over two weeks and still nothing has grown from them. Bad seeds. Duds. Not happy!
