Five stars for completed product, classy, durable and expensive looks. Two stars... maybe even a one for installation, it really sucked to try to install this product and I had to pretty much figure it all out myself. But I figured it out and here is what you do. All you need extra is two hose clamps:1. Remove old shifter boot and knob. This is easy and there are a bunch of youtube videos that show how to pry off the metal crimp (seriously you pry it off, not nice little fastener with a trick to it, pry with pliers, but BE CAREFULL YOU CAN DAMAGE THE WHITE PLASTIC, trust me I know) and simply lift out the boot and knob. Discard the old collar you pried off.2. Remove old shifter boot from the knob. I cut it away with scissors and riped it out of the black collar that secures it to the knob.3. Also remove shift boot from plastic ring that secures boot the console use staple remover (they pretty much are secured to the boot with “industrial” staples.) Flimsy cheap little thing (be nice to it)3. Now you have a knob removed from the old boot with another “collar”, this one is black and is designed to hold the boot to the knob. You must pry this off using whatever means necessary. See picture if you are not sure what this is.4. Now the annoying part that took hours for me to figure out is over.5. Attach the new shift boot to the old knob with the small hose clamp.6. Attach shift boot to the flimsy ring that goes into console. Use a household stapler… seriously use a household stapler… fine don’t, stop reading this and go get someone else to do it and charge you a hundred bucks and they will use a household stapler and call it an upholstery stapler;)6. Take your glorious, ready to install boot and knob and put it in your car using the other hose clamp in place of the old steel crimp you pried off. Oh yeah!

Easy installation. I did it myself on my 02 Beetle. Not bad for a woman! Great product too!

Really Really needs some instructions if you don't have a computer handy too look how to take the shift knob apart and reinstall the new boot. Once all is said and done it looks great better than new and the materials are far superior to those of the OEM boot. You will need extra items to get this to install properly though like a heavy duty stapler to re-secure it to the factory inside ring.

Nice leather boot, good workmanship but have adjusted the installation twice and the boot still pulls out in front when shifting into 2nd and 4th
