Nice laser pointer. It's not a super fine point laser, but it works well for me. It's a little bigger than a pen, probably closer to the size of a AA maglight, but still easily fits in your pocket. The effects tip is neat, but not anything that I would use, so I removed it. Plugs directly into a USB-A charge port.It would be better if it used the current standard USB-C cord for charging, and an bit more focused point. But if you want a decent, rechargeable laser pointer, then I would recommend this.

Overall , it's a good laser pointer. I live in a heavily forested area and we have all kinds or creatures here. Sometimes I see Bobcats, wolves and even giant Woodpeckers. It's useful to point out where they are at for the family. We had an 8 foot snake in a tree that was fairly far away and hard to see. With this, it makes it easy to point out the creatures. This is not a toy so I would not let kids use it unsupervised. It can cause permanent eye damage in a second or two if pointed directly at your eye or someone else. I would think you need to be careful around pets and make sure that it is never pointed at their eyes as well. It's well made, works good and a reasonable price.

This laser pointer is quite powerful and bright. It comes packaged with a plastic cover over the button probably for shipping purposes to avoid having the button get pressed during shipment, however I find this super useful to put back on each time I put it away so it doesn’t get pressed during storage either. When you first try it, you’ll notice not one dot but a whole array of dots. The attachment on the end has a kaleidoscope type of splitter, which as you turn it changes the array of dots into different shapes. This is fun to play with for a little while but is not super useful to me. The attachment can be screwed off, revealing a strong single laser beam, which is how I use it most often. I wondered if I could use this to help with astrophotography/astronomy hobby so I tested it outside on a clear night (of course avoiding any planes or other things flying in the sky which is a big no-no). The light is visible as it touches things like power lines, however it doesn’t seem to reach low clouds. If you point it at something in the sky such as a star and then look towards the star you’re pointing at, you’re able to see the beam through the air as it bounces off particles in the air. In that way, it seems this could be mounted on the side of something like a DIY star tracker to aim at deep sky objects of interest, or for polar alignment. It seems to hold a charge for quite a while and I love that it can be recharged with a USB port (when you unscrew the back).

My pup loves chasing a light around the living room. Great way to tire him out with little effort on my part:) The light is super bright- I did take it outside at night and shone it on a quite far away tree to check the distance as stated on the packaging and yep- it works from far away, too. Not sure the need for that distance but it does shine super far away too! A nice light!

I really like this laser pointer! The rolling star-shaped cap is a fun touch—it allows you to project different patterns, and when you remove the cap, it gives a focused red beam. The aluminum alloy body feels durable and has a non-slip design, making it easy to handle. It’s a great little tool for a variety of uses, and I appreciate how versatile it is with the adjustable light patterns.

I was under the impression this was "high powered" as stated in the listing but this just happens to be your average powered budget laser that you would find on something like a cat's toy. It is made well with an all metal body and the USB C charging port is a nice touch. Sadly this is not going to do anything a high powered laser will so you will be tethered to indoor use. The only difference from every other budget laser I have owned is this one has a sort of adjustable filter that let's you manipulate a grid pattern to a certain extent. I am not really sure what something like that would be used for but in my case I have no need for it. If you remove that filter you have access to the regular single point laser beam. I was hoping to use this in some outdoor UAP watching but I will have to find a different laser for that activity. If you need a normal laser, or that grid pattern for some reason, and plan to us this indoors I can say this will probably get the job done but ignore the "high power" mentions in the listing.

The laser strength is pretty average. It's visible, but it's not as powerful as some other "high power" pointers I've used. It's okay for pointing out relatively close objects, but it might struggle over longer distances, especially in brighter conditions. On the plus side, the casing is quite nice. It feels durable and well-made. I also appreciate that it's small enough to easily slip into my pocket. The USB-C charging is convenient, and it's nice not to have to worry about batteries.Overall, it's a decent laser pointer for the price, but don't expect it to be super powerful. If you need something for long-distance pointing, you might want to look for a more powerful option.Pros:Nice casingPocket-sizedEasy USB-C chargingCons:Medium laser strength
