Battery powered, solar panel charged .A good wireless camera with too-short video clips when triggered to record. Crisp high resolution video and images but the 'zoomed' video stream seems just a subset of the main stream @ lower resolution, rather than an independently zoomed view of the event, which I'd hoped possible. There do appear to be 2 different lenses in the camera ...Full frame (wide view) resolution is 3840x2169, the zoomed stream is 1920x1080. The app doesn't seem to give me the means to change either stream's resolution. As noted, the duration of the recordings is short - I'd like to see what the animal (or bad guy) does for a bit even if the camera loses its trigger. I have other reolink cams and typically can set a longer post-recording extension time. These others also keep recording for as long as the trigger exists: the bad guy may wait more than 15 seconds before Doing Something Bad.And yes, this DOES SUPPORT FTP UPLOAD to your server. I found a bit of 'explanation' on reolink's site saying they didn't do that for the battery powered cams to cut down on the power drain, which is nonsense - whether sending to reolink cloud or your server, their wifi is powered up (drawing power) at least for the duration of the upload.Amazon's AI (funny description!) product question-answer bot gets this wrong. I ordered the cam with the hope of local FTP. Was pleased when I found the ftp configuration menues - and was fully prepared if not. First thing I checked.I'm going to stick to the cheaper, non-tracking, powered cams as I can set them to stream for as long as the event goes on.I can even suggest upload to my local server runs the cam's wifi radio for *less* time, because my wan (ISP) upload speed to some cloud is slow.

Avoid, avoid, avoid. The cameras themselves aren't too bad and their software is full of quirks but I would say about 50% serviceable. The huge problem with Reolink is their abominable support. if you ever have an issue you will go back and forth and back and forth and back and forth. just trying to get them to understand your description of the problem. All you will get is explanations reasons, excuses, obvious responses that tell you that they have no idea what you're talking about. it is beyond frustrating. They will refuse to accept no matter what happens that an issue could possibly be their problem. They will find reason after reason after excuse to try to make any problem your fault. I must fit Einstein's definition of insane because I kept buying some of their cameras even after having less than satisfactory results, thinking that maybe a different camera model might be better. Here's a hint: it wasn't. as things stand, I have reached the decision that I'm about to consign eight different cameras to the garbage and start looking for another solution.

I never thought I'd be the kind of person who invests in a solar-powered camera system, but here I am, officially living in the future. The Reolink 4K Solar Cameras are like the James Bond of home security—sleek, smart, and totally unbothered by weather conditions.First off, the 4K resolution is crystal clear. I can spot the tiniest leaf blowing in the wind, and I’m pretty sure I could even ID a squirrel from a mile away. The night vision? Let’s just say even when the sun goes down, these cameras are still pulling off the "I see everything" look. The solar power is a game-changer—no need to worry about running out of batteries or being tethered to an outlet. These bad boys are completely self-sustaining. My house is so secure, I feel like I’m living inside a giant fortress.Setting them up was surprisingly easy (even for someone like me who’s more likely to break tech than set it up). And if I need to check in? The mobile app is intuitive, and it’s like having a virtual security guard in my pocket.Bottom line: These cameras make me feel like I’ve got eyes on my property 24/7—and those eyes are super sharp. If you want peace of mind with a dash of high-tech flair, the Reolink 4K Solar Cameras are your new best friend.

LATEST UPDATE:Reolink, pro actively reached out ot me and provided me with a slight refund on the camera. AMAZING and I'll keep on buying from them in the future!ORIGINAL REVIEW:I have a few Reolinks around and I love this company, all the camera's I have bought are super easy to set up using the cell phone app and same goes for settings and controls. I gave this cam a 3 star review because while everything was awesome (set up, image quality, etc.) the one thing I bought it for is crappy ... The pan settings. It gues high but not low enough so I can only see half the item I have the camera pointed toward. At the price I got it for though, I'll hang on to it but the tilt from left to right is fine, panning up is very good but the rang eto pan down is not even half of the up pan.

Was skeptical on this camera for the price. Research on security cameras is a rabbit hole that can lead to frustration and wondering what to believe in the product description. I am not disappointed with this camera do far.Very nice camera system. Works great for my property. Installation and setup was very easy. I like the app, easy to navigate. However, the app notification should take you to the exact timeline of the notification in the video history and not to the ‘overall’ history where you have to search for the recordings for the video timeline. The video quality is very good, epically with the zoom lens. Easily reads license plates of cars in my driveway.I like the motion tracking for people. along with the lights to make it easy to identify people at night as in the daylight. One suggestion would be to have the ability to have an automatic scanning feature for the camera to scan the entire range of motion. Also, maybe a feature to scan if sound is heard. The money disk option makes it great so I do not have to have a subscription. Great value to keep history locally. I have had the camera for three weeks with no video history overwrite due to storage space limitations.Battery life is very good. No issues even after several cloudy days.Highly recommend this product for those wanting a good camera, useful features and don’t want to break the bank on a good quality security camera.

I was really looking forward to using this compact Argus Track, as it is one of the few Wi-Fi wireless cameras I have found that does not require and App or Smartphone. It's ability to connect to a PC client is what attracted me. Unfortunately, after receiving and failed attempts to connect to my Rogers/Nokia FastMile 5G Gateway 3.2 router, upon contacting support I was made aware the Argus Track does not support Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), only Wi-Fi 5.Sad to say I will have to return this camera and keep searching.Update:I have increased my rating form 3 stars to 5 stars due to the fantastic customer service provided by Sandy at Reolink. I did end up purchasing the Reolink Altas PT Ultra, a Wi-fi 6 camera directly from Reolink, as at the time it was not available on Amazon.ca.
