My dishwasher timer stopped working, which caused the dishwasher to get stuck occasionally in particular cycles. For being stuck in hot cycle for too long that’s my guess, caused the drain solenoid to melt. I had to replace timer and then found out that the washer wasn’t draining. The new solenoid fixed the draining problema, but I have to say for some reason and as stated by other reviewers, this solenoid makes loud noises when operating. It sounds like a very loud buzz noise for a few seconds every time the washer drains a bit of water. And it happens to drain a little bit of water every now and then during every cycle, so be advised!

The product is fine, good quality. There were 3 suppliers that had it listed as " next day prime delivery ". By 10 pm. At 8pm, it didn't say anything about it not coming. I could have gotten it from one of the other 2 and had my dishwasher up and running last night.

This solenoid sounds terrible and gets very hot to the touch. As others have said, just get an OEM replacement and skip the cheap over-seas knock offs.

After installing, testing found the solenoid made a very loud buzzing sound and got extremely hot. Removed and returned. Given the success and failures reported by others I can only conclude the manufacture has very poor quality control.

As other reviews have mentioned, this is louder than the original part. A very loud buzzing sound when it clicks over a few times per cycle. But it was easy to install, works properly — and saved me hundreds of dollars by replacing this part instead of my entire dishwasher!
