In the gearbox is a “ring” attached to a shaft that moves up and down like a piston and operates the blades. This ring slides over a part of a gear. While it’s running the ring will often fall off the gear. I can get it to fall back into place but it shouldn’t do this. I’m wondering if there is a known fix.

So far it’s a great trimmer. I actually purchased a Husqvarna weed whip and thought I’d buy the hedge trimmer attachment little did I know I wouldn’t work with mine, total disappointment and I had to send it back. Long story short I purchased this trimmer and worked great it even had grease fittings that the Husqvarna did not. We have tall bushes and needed something like this. It fits and was easy to adjust and assemble!
