I wasn't sure if this would be a useable item but it turned out to be perfect for my son on his Harley. He often rides with friends and goes on various runs for which this has worked out perfectly. He likes being able to use his GPS when going new places, making phone calls seamlessly, talking to others in his group, and listening to the radio on a ride.

I will occasionally do long regional rides, but nothing more than 10 hours and never overnight. During these long rides, I wanted the ability to receive calls as there are times when it is important to answer a call (worried wife, etc). Now I love not having to find a place to stop and pull my phone out to check for messages. This system works great for that. The ability to receive and make calls while moving is the key feature for me. My bike has a radio, so I don’t need the FM feature. I don’t ride tours with others, so the intercom is not needed. Maybe this is overkill for my needs but I’m loving it.It was really easy to pair to my iPhone. Mounting to my helmet was the most work since I’ve never done this before, but it wasn’t bad. From other units that I’ve researched, the installation is typical of other brands. I was fortunate that my helmet has accommodations for the speakers and stuff. Maybe this is typical of all helmets but I was sure glad to see this in mine. The buttons are easy to work with gloves. I just have to get used to the position of the buttons and their function. I haven’t been in the rain and will avoid riding in the rain, but it appears to be well made to protect against water.I like that this has different color pieces. I honestly don’t know which color I want to use. Do I match the helmet? My bike? Or use a different color to just add a “splash” of something different? Either way, it feels and works with a quality I’ve seen missing from other sets.At this price point, this was a fun option. There are some I was considering that were over $200. I’m glad now I never spent that much for something to just answer an urgent call.If you used the Bluetooth connection for your phone in the car, this will be very familiar.

This Retevis intercom is a quality product. I have used several radio products by this company and all have been good. This headset is a combination FM radio, intercom, and phone interface. Unlike many other helmet headsets I've seen, this one has a halfway decent manual that gives direction on setting up all the functions including intercom pairing for another Retevis and also for a different brand. Many leave you on your own to figure this out. I don't see any mention of including more than two stations in the intercom group and I don't have multiple helmets to see if you can pair 3 or more. The speakers and mikes mount just like 99% of these type units, no surprises here. The audio is good and the volume is adequate for my use. The FM radio is nice for when you don't want to stream from your phone, or you are using it for navigation. The phone has highest priority so a call or navigation warning will override the radio or intercom automatically. This is handy. Phone pairing and pairing to my other intercom went well. Sometimes it is a bit tricky to pair a third party intercom and you may have to do it twice. Everything you need is in the box, and it is a nice system for your bike. If you are looking for an intercom system, remember it is ALWAYS easier to set up two identical units then two of mixed manufacture. But, even if you already have one from someone else, this is a good additional unit.
