I haven’t used it yet, but it’s good to have it retract itself after using it and it’s easy to store under the seat of my truck.

Perfect for putting tension on pop-up style ice shelter walls to prevent cave in from high wind. The downside of ratchet straps is that they can freeze up if left out in rain/snow and extreme cold, these ones do not have that issue. But The thing that sold me, was the spring loaded gap closer that allows me to keep some slack in line without worrying it’ll fall off.

I put these StrapsPro ratchet straps to the test in a way that most people probably wouldn’t think to: by using them in my yard to retrain a massive, unruly pomegranate tree that had grown at a heavy lean. After pulling the trunk upright with a winch, I used a series of ground anchors and these straps to hold the tree steady in its new position. They stayed in place for several months, out in the elements, and didn’t flinch—so this review reflects not just initial performance, but how they held up long-term.The strength of the straps is what impressed me first. At 1.5 inches wide and with a 4400-pound break strength rating, they absolutely feel up to the task, and in my case, they genuinely were. There was no noticeable stretching over time, even under continuous tension. That’s critical when you’re trusting your setup not to give out overnight. The ratchet mechanism also worked just the way it should. It cinched down tight with each click, but more importantly, it released smoothly when I was ready to take it all apart. That might sound minor, but if you’ve ever had to fight with a jammed ratchet, you’ll understand why that alone earns this product some serious credit.I also appreciated the integrated soft loops, which gave me more flexibility in how I could attach to different points without worrying about scratching or damaging surfaces. Whether I was looping around the tree trunk or catching an anchor at ground level, I had enough options to work with.Now, about the gloves that come with the set—I’ll give them points for trying, but I wouldn’t use those for anything more than a light task. They’re fine if you just need to keep your hands clean while winding up straps, but I wouldn’t trust them in any serious tie-down scenario. On the other hand, the included storage bag is a real winner. I’ve owned enough ratchet straps to know that if you don’t store them neatly, you’re going to end up with a tangled mess that takes more time to fix than it’s worth. Having a dedicated place to store them not only makes repeat use easier, but also ensures they’re ready to go when I toss them in the back of the truck for hauling runs.If I had to nitpick, I’d say that while the strap length is perfect for most light hauling and gear securing jobs, you’ll want to double-check your measurements if you’re using these in less traditional applications, like I did. That said, the 10-foot length gave me just enough room to work with for most yard tasks and gear tie-downs.All in all, I’d trust these ratchet straps again for similar projects—or more traditional ones involving motorcycles, ATVs, or truck beds. They’re tough, dependable, and thoughtfully designed for real-world use.

Didn't seem to loosen on a 7 hr trip to WV and WV will put about any strap to its test. Would trust by themselves in a trailer or truck bed but wouldn't trust ANY strap on a carrier with handle bars alone.

I recently picked up these ratchet straps and I’m honestly impressed with how solid they are. Right out of the package, you can tell they’re built to last. The straps are rated for 4,400 lbs break strength and 1,466 lbs working load, which is more than enough for just about anything I’d need to haul. The 1.5-inch width gives them a nice, beefy feel, and at 10 feet long, they give plenty of reach to secure larger items.What really stands out is the ratcheting handle – it’s got great leverage and feels smooth and easy to use, even when you’re cinching things down tight. There’s also a manual release mechanism that works great without jamming up.The finish is also a nice touch – everything is blacked out, from the straps to the hooks and the ratchet itself. Looks clean and sharp, and the rubber-coated hooks with safety clips make sure nothing is slipping out, even if you hit a rough road.Another detail I really appreciate is the soft loop strap built into the design. Perfect for going over handlebars without scratching or damaging them – something I’ve had issues with in the past using standard hooks. This makes it way easier and safer to strap down things like motorcycles or quads.And finally, the set comes with a storage bag. It’s nothing fancy, but it definitely helps protect the straps from UV and wear when they’re not in use. Keeps everything together too.Overall, these are solid, heavy-duty straps that are smarter and more durable than most of the others I’ve used. Highly recommend if you want something reliable that won’t let you down.
