The grooves are not deep enough for my 4 year old. I would not recommend this product.

I bought these to help my 4 year old practice his handwriting. He didn't like it, Its not great for younger kids who are just learning to write as the letters are small. Would be great for bigger kids, maybe a 5 or 6 year old.

This was an interesting package. There were number and counting practice sheets suitable for a younger child but then also multiplication/division practice sheets suitable to a much older child. I returned them.

I love this product. My nine-year-old needed to work on his handwriting and my 6 year old is just learning the fundamentals. This was a good workbook for both of them at very different levels. They thought the disappearing ink was fun and they enjoyed doing this.

The magic pen writing books are a really good way for kids to learn writing and keep practicing as much as they want without using up a bunch of paper. By the time you get to the end of the page, the top line is already starting to fade. There are 2 pens ( not filled) but it does come with I think 6 ink refills and 2 pencil grips. It comes in a presentable box that can be used to store everything back into after using it.
